"Walter had the brilliant idea of the four of us getting off the island at some point this semester."

"We should. Go do . . . something else. Take a break from the crazy."

"I was thinking a water park." Pippi said. "Or we could try planning a trip to Disneyland again."

"Either way, really. Or maybe just some other beach where I can lie around and do very, very little."

"We could go to Kurrakurradutt, or Monie Akaya."

"I don't know where those are, but sure."

"They're South Sea islands. One of them is home to a tribe of pearl-diving ~~ex-cannables~~ natives, the other is deserted... Unless somebody's been shipwrecked or marooned there."

". . . How likely would we be to be attacked by fish people, dead pirates, or cannibals?"

Pippi thought about it.

"Not at all likely."

Dead pirates? Not at all.

The people of Kurrakurradutt never ate outsiders anyway.

And fish people didn't actually exist in her world... That she knew of.

Nadia decided to trust Pippi's judgement on that. "Okay."

"All the vacation spots I know best are in the South Seas." Pippi said. "...Unless you want to hang out in Villa Villekulla for a weekend."

"Not if it's cold."

"It will be, quite cold, if we wait much longer."

Nadia shook her head. "Sorry. I'm not good at cold weather."

"I'd rather be warm then cold myself. But snow is nice."

When it's not trying to kill you.

Nadia shook her head. "I've not had very good times with snow."

"In defense of snow, not all of it is evil."

"But it is all cold. We had snow sometimes in Buenos Aires. Do you know how hard it is to live on the streets when it's snowing?"

"No but I do know how hard it is to sail a ship when it's snowing. So I'm guessing pretty hard." Pippi said. "Though we wouldn't have to be on the street, Villa Villekulla is very cozy in winter."

"Well, maybe. But this weekend I just want to relax."

"It's supposed to be sunny (http://xml.weather.yahoo.com/forecast/22302_f.html) here this Saturday. Maybe we could just hang out at the beach."

"That could work. I'm a little afraid that if I leave the island again, I'll have all that time snap back on me and end up missing a year."

"Well, we'd be with you if it did happen." Pippi said smiling.

"Yeah. That's true."

"So anyway." Pippi said. "Beach. Sun. Picnic. Low maintenance. Saturday. Ya."
