Monday Morning - Office Hours 9:30-11:30am

When Phale got pulled together to go teach his first class ever, Wilson also got up and went in to the school with him. Leaving Phale with a kiss and an assurance that he was going to be brilliant, Wilson headed on down the hallway to his own office.

Wilson also had a couch and a couple of comfortable armchairs set up in his office, along with a nice rug, leather desk chair and of course, a desk! Most importantly, he had the beloved coffee machine which in short order was pumping out the delicious scent of Jamaican Blue Mountain freshly ground and now perking.

Settling down behind his desk, he still had work to do on his lesson plans for the week and so set to it, he grinned as he took note of a familiar looking thermos sitting there as if it had always been there. Picking it up, he gave it a loving kiss, then set it down to enjoy in a bit. For now the door stood open for anyone who might need or want to wander by; one warning, the coffee mugs were not unlimited.

Parker's checking out classrooms before she heads to Interstellar Relations in a couple hours, and happens to notice a familiar face. "Ha. It *wasn't* a coincidence. It is you."

Hearing Parker's familiar voice, Wilson looked up from where he was working on his laptop and smiled warmly.

"Parker! Nope, not a coincidence, it is me. How are you doing?"

Sitting back, he waved her in, if she had a moment.

Parker meandered in, wandering around his office, checking out the couch, the books, the accoutrements, rather like a cat let in to do a critique on the ambiance. "I'm fine. What are you doing back? I thought you were happily going off into the sunset with Dr. House. And if he's here, he owes me a lollipop."

Watching Parker make herself at home, Wilson reached back and poured her a mug of coffee, setting it on the corner of the desk for when she made it that far in her circuit of the room.

"Err, not quite. Actually I left Fandom with Aziraphale. We've been gone about a year and a half, our time but I recently spent some time with Dr. House. He got shot and was attempting an experimental treatment to help his pain. As for why I'm back, it seems to be at the whim of the same office that reassigned Aziraphale in the first part, only time time...back as a teacher."

Parker stopped in her tracks, head cocked, blinking at him, then wandered over to accept the coffee. "Okay, *that's* not what I was expecting. Is he okay?" You might interpret that tone as concern. "And welcome back, and Mr. Azriphale's back too? Cool."

Sitting back, after a couple of gentle keystrokes to save the work he'd been doing, Wilson picked up his own mug of tea and smiled ruefully.

"He finally pissed off the wrong patient. Guy just walked right into his office at the hospital and shot him, in front of his fellows. It was a bit touchy there for awhile and the experimental treatment put him in a coma for longer than I would have liked but...hopefully it will give him the result he is seeking."

Something in Wilson's tone said that he didn't expect this to be the case but was willing to hold on to hope for House's sake.

"And yes, Aziraphale is back as well. We're both teaching this semester."

Parker perched herself on the edge of his desk, and wrapped her fingers around the cup of coffee. "He *is* going to be okay though, right?" She took a sip. "And would he want a strip-o-gram, or a singing and tap-dancing cowboy, do you think?" She grinned a little, and asked, "So what are you two teaching? I thought I saw something about humor and medicine with your name on it, but you know me. I buzzed by the other course selections because they weren't what I wanted."

"Strip-o-gram, definitely." Wilson said without even hesitating. This was Parker after all and she knew House.

Frowning, Wilson wrinkled his nose thoughtfully then took a sip of his tea.

"He'll live, he was waking up when I was...errr...snatched. But I think he's set himself up for another disappointment. He's going to want it to work so badly but I don't see where it can, not as a long term solution and at the end of the day, it only address his physical symptoms, it doesn't truly 'fix' anything, which is his learning to come to terms with what happened to him."

Maybe more of an answer than she expected but... again... this was Parker and she had known House for most of the school year.

"You are correct! I'm teaching a class for humor as the best medicine and then one on the philosophy of values when using a medical to magical gifts. Or how not to start playing God when you might think you have the power to do so. Aziraphale is teaching Prophecies, which seems to have garnered a lot of attention."

Parker was quiet, sipping her coffee, thinking about that. Hoping that Dr. Wilson was wrong, and House would get his full recovery. "Things happen. Maybe he'll get lucky."

"Hmmm. Sounds interesting. If I weren't full up, I might have taken it." She grinned. "I might crash anyway, if they don't conflict with my other classes. Or happen in the morning." She rolled her eyes. "And duuhhh. Enough people here have destinies or weird fates or other overarching strangeness, of *course* they're looking for the Exit. That should be fun class for him."

If he could read minds, Wilson would have hoped as well but he was too far gone into the mindset of an oncologist where false hope given by desperate actions often lead to devesating crashes when they just didn't work and the patient still died.

Anyway...

"Do you mean the prophecies course? Well, I believe at least one student is already auditing it but probably not a good idea to take an audit if you're already carrying a full course load. Plus, it is in the morning, first thing on Mondays. That's the bad news. The good news is both Aziraphale and I bribe the students with home made food stuffs. I'm making chocolate hazelnut brownies with milk chocolate frosting and truffle brownies for my humor class tomorrow afternoon."

"Well, I'd like to crash yours just to be amused," Parker said with a grin, "But now? Oooo! Gosh, I think I'm feeling the need to learn about medical humor tomorrow, at least long enough to get truffle brownies." She kicked one leg and looked mischevious. "Sometime before my Music class starts, anyway."

"We might just be amusing." Wilson said with a grin, then he chuckled. "And there will be plenty of brownies so feel free to slip by and grab a couple if you wish. You absolutely do not have my permission." He said with a wink, knowing that Parker would enjoy the thrill of the hunt, rather than just having it handed to her.

The root of legendary red lollipop wars with House last year.

"I'm thinking about bagels, cream cheese, lox and perhaps some home made pastries for the Values course, since it's closer to breakfast time on Thursdays."

Parker stuck her tongue out him, then grinned. "I haven't smoked since last December, by the way." She pouted. "But getting up early-- wah. No. You and the lox will have to survive without me."

"Ahh but you see that's the beauty of both my classes. It doesn't start till 10:00am. Late breakfast." He said with a returned wink.

Then he smiled and nodded. "I sort of heard. Congratulations, Parker. I really am happy to hear that you've been able to stick with it."

There was nothing condescending in his tone, only a genuine gratefulness that she'd been able to stick to what she started in trying to quit the dangerous habit.

"Yeaaaah." She sighed. "Not saying it's been easy. I had couple bad times over the summer when I had to really exhaust myself, in order to not go looking for a cigarette. But there are *far* too many people who'd give me the sad-eyes to risk lighting up for anything but a real apocalypse." Parker grinned at him. "Hmmm. 10 am. Mayyyyybe. Bagels? Yum. *So* much better than cafeteria food." She finished up her coffee, and put the mug down on his desk. "Anything you and Mr. Azriphale need, let me know. It's good to see you."

"Indeed, there will be bagels, fresh bagels even. If we need anything we will definitely let you know, Parker. Thank you." He said in response to the offer a genuine, slightly shy smile on his face.

"He and I are down at Mauvaise Chance apartments, number 4, if you need anything from us, anytime...just like before okay?"

"Thanks," Parker said, returning the smile. "And sure. Be seein' you tomorrow, I think." She moseyed toward the door, then poked her head back in, "Hey. E-mail me House's address, will you? Strippers cost extra on the weekend."

Snorting around a bit of laughter, Wilson nodded.

"Will do. He'll appreciate the thought, especially if you can get her to dress up like a red lollipop."

Wilson winked and gave her a nod. "Good to see you again, Parker. Talk to you soon."
