There are the usual desk and chairs near the doors to the Danger Shop, but just beyond them is a small but functional amusement park with a roller coaster, a petting zoo, a merry-go-round, and stands selling ice cream, hamburgers, funnel cakes and other foods, as well as a large ornamental fountain. A few badgers seem to be swimming in the fountain, and a variety of Danger Shop-generated people are riding the rides, eating and generally having the best time the programming making them up allow.

Of course, not all is paradise. Some people seem to be eating a little faster than is good for them, yellow jacket wasps buzz near a trash can, and some of the machinery for the roller coaster is sizzling hot and easily within reach of the computer-generated people. And those are only the risks visible at a glance.

Elliot twirls slowly to face the class, beaming. "Hey everyone, thank you for being with me all summer. Like I said last week, there's a little bit of a party for you today. Ride the rides, eat the food, and if you stumble across someone who's sick or hurt, take care of them. There's a First Aid tent in the back that has all of the supplies you might need. Oh, and don't worry -- the Danger Shop creations can get burned or stung or whatever, but you can't. I'm here if you have questions."

"Also? The school is doing a first aid seminar for new students next Tuesday afternoon. I'd like two or three student volunteers, so if you're up for it, please come and see me."

"Otherwise, have a good time and I will see you around!"

Go wild modding the injuries you're taking care of, or let me know if you'd like Elliot to walk you through something.

Or just ride the rides and eat cotton candy. That could be fun, too.

Isabel didn't feel up to dealing with any really difficult injuries today. So she avoided the guy who was injured when the bungee jumping rope was too long and instead focused on a little girl with a skinned knee.

Briar just kind of gawked.

Parker got on the roller coaster four times before she went and helped a guy with electrical burns get to the First Aid tent. She dressed his arm (loose dressing, burn cream, ice) and chatted with him while a purple badger ran the lemonade stand outside.

Z fortified herself with a lemonade from the purple badger-run lemonade stand, then rushed to help a guy who'd been stung and was proving to be allergic. Luckily, he had an epi-pen, so she was able to fix the problem quickly. Then she took him to the first aid tent, just in case. Too bad he was just a hologram. He'd been cute.

Hermione keeps an eye out for people who needed help. She shotted a little boy who'd slid getting off one of the water rides and twisted his ankle. She assesses the damage: there's no swelling, and while it's a little sore, movement isn't too much of a problem. She helps him to a nearby bench and sits him down, elevating it on the bench just in case, which is when his parents come by to take over.

And once that's finished, she thinks maybe she can reward herself with a ride on the carousel. And then she'll find someone else to help.

Talk to Elliot or to each other.

Peter went to see Elliot during class.

"Mr. Pevensie, what can I do for you?," Elliot asked cheerfully.

"I thought I ought to volunteer to help next Tuesday," Peter said with a grin.

"You mean, because it was kind of your idea?," Elliot teased. "Yeah, that would be good. Basically I'll want you to help demonstrate techniques, give a hand to anyone who looks too confused, stuff like that. I'm trying to get a few people from the clinic in on it too."

[OOC: Thanks and I'll send out an email to hash out specifics OOC once I know who the volunteers are.]

"Quite possibly I mean that," Peter replied with a laugh. "But I'd be more than happy to do so."

"That's fantastic. Thanks so much."

Parker would have liked to volunteer ~~although sadlyh her mun had a full day of work on Tuesdays~~ but figured someone who could resist teasing the newbies would be better for the job.

She did have to mention something else to Dr. Elliot though. "Dr. Elliot? Thanks for giving us those First Aid kits here in class. I had to use mine this weekend, and it really came in handy."

"Always good to hear," Elliot said. "Not that you needed it, I mean, but that it helped. Is everyone okay?"

"Yes, he's fine," Parker said, belatedly thinking that maybe full disclosure was a bad idea. "He got banged up and bruised out at the sea caves, then called for help. So a couple of us took the First Aid kit down there to help him out. It wasn't any more serious than that, though. But I was very glad to have it."

Elliot quirked an eyebrow, but seemed to have decided the doctrine of, "Ask no questions and you'll be told no lies" was her wisest course just then.

"Kits are great for that," she said instead. "Bangs, bruises, whatever random shenanigans you guys get up to."

Thank you so much for being such a great class; teaching this was always a joy. I only hope Elliot's regular classes are as much fun.
