Baking Workshop 8/21, Monday Morning

"Good morning," Piper greets quietly. She might be sad because this is her last workshop ever. "Hopefully, you all brought a recipe of your choice today. If not, feel free to use any of the recipes from this session."

"Thanks for signing up for the workshop and for being a pretty awesome class," she continued, giving them a warm smile.

Molly presents two round one-layer chocolate cakes dusted with powdered sugar.

Piper peered at the cakes and grinned. "Nice work Molly. Wow, you made two."

"The recipe is for a double layer cake, but I like it without frosting," Molly explained. "The instructions I have only tell you how long to bake it in the round pans though, so I just used those instead of in the rectangle pan."

"Ahh, you improvised! That comes in handy quite a lot in baking," Piper said.
