Wilderness Survival Redux - Week 6 | Thursday Morning, A Clearing in the Woods

Callisto looked far from happy as she addressed the class, giving a brief, yet highly informative, lecture on snares and pit traps.

"However," she added. "These particular style of traps fall down when you want to catch a nocturnal animal without doing harm to it, as they often react badly to the approach of day, or are in fact harmed by excessive light. Your job today is to try and devise a trap which would trap a large, nocturnal animal without doing it any harm. You can do this either on your own or in groups."

"Booze? Ice cream? Ice cream and booze floats?" Rory tentatively tried to wrap an arm around Callisto's shoulders in a quick hug, ready to bolt back off if it seemed unwelcome.

Rory just kept hugging her and stayed quiet, since talking usually didn't help things.
