Spread out on the table in front of the firepit is a mini-smorgasbord of weird-flavored candy - Cinnamon Altoids, mega-sour Warheads, a couple of bags of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and really, really, really salty licorice.

Xander, looking relaxed and grinning widely, waves a hand at the spread. "Help yourselves; it's there if you need a little inspiration for today's activity. Which is a really, really hard one, so you'll need a lot of practice - lemme demonstrate." He pops a piece of salty black licorice into his mouth, and makes a face.

After chewing and swallowing with a grimace that doesn't completely replace his grin, he says, "Words are great; I love words. You can't do without 'em for stuff like lying and talking yourself out of kidnap situations. But sometimes on a team, you're just not gonna be able to express yourself in words. Maybe because the bad guys might hear you, or because you know if you open your mouth you're gonna tell your team leader exactly what you think of that plan, and that might not be the brightest thing to do at that moment ~~which never tends to stop me~~ -- but you've got to do something. That's where a repertoire of expressive faces comes in handy."

Xander grabs an Atomic Fireball and drops that in his mouth, then makes another face. "Get the idea? You don't have to use the candy; it's just there if you need it. What I want you guys to do today is talk to each other about anything you want -- but no actual talking. You only get to talk with your face, not your voice."

Hi there!

Staying true to the assignment, Sakurazaki merely hands her pass (http://fh-office.livejournal.com/38013.html?thread=311933#t311933) to Xander and hopes her expression (and, well, the paper) does the talking.

Xander raises an eyebrow at the reason listed, but nods. "You'll miss the final," he says, cheating because there's no way in hell he has an expression that could convey that, "But not a big deal - no grades for it, after all."

Sakurazaki nodded, with a little bit of a blush. "Sorry about that. Missing the last class and all. Duty calls, though. I have enjoyed this class emmensely, though; thank you." She gave a respectful bow.

"Been there," Xander said, waving a hand. "And glad you had fun."

Willow was there, looking thoughtful.

Xander wandered back with a handful of the least weird-tasting candy he's spread out on the table, and offered her chocolate. "You've got thinky-face on."

Willow offered him a PB&J in return. "I'm having thoughts again."

"That's kind of like saying you're breathing again." Xander took the sandwich and unwrapped it. "Lemme re-phrase. You have especially thinky face on."

"Do you think I'm a big ho?" Willow asked, since that's what was giving her expecially thinky face.

Possibly staring at her for 2.5 seconds then bursting into sputtering laugher was not the response she was looking for.

"I knew it!" Willow said, as though he'd just confirmed this for her.

Xander stopped laughing. "Wait, you're serious?"

"Of course," Willow said.

"Oh....kay." Xander gave this a slightly more serious consideration. "Becky is a big ho. Well, actually she's a fairly small ho, but the principal stands. Paris Hilton is... kind of a big ho. Dolly Parton in that movie with the chickens is a big ho. And then there's you. Three of these things are kinda the same."

"They all have first names that start with five letters?"

"Thaaaaaat would be another reason, yes." Xander cocked his head at her. "Why in the wide world of sports would anybody think you were in any way ho-like?"

Bridge grins and bounces as he waves to Xander.

Xander tosses sour fizzy candies in his direction. "Hey, you."

"Hey!" Bridge says cheerfully. "Ooh, sour candies. Oh! Have you checked your email lately?"

"The one from Bel? Or was there another mummy invasion between lunch and now?" He's joking. Mostly. A little. Considering that it's entirely possible.

Bridge looks momentarily worried. "That'd be the one... you don't think there was another invasion already, do you?"

"No, just covering all the bases."

"Oh, good," Bridge says, relieved. "Because really, the last one wasn't so long ago and it'd just be *weird* if there was another one so soon. Do you want to go?"

"Yet another session of getting drunk and potentially doing embarrassing things that nobody's gonna remember because they were all drunk too?" Xander shrugs. "The sport of kings. I'm in."
