Jayne is tired. Hes been avioding cops, teachers and women, all day.
He didnt get to work, and is pretty sure that hes going to get fired. Its not that he didnt want to be there, but that he couldnt get there in time, and it pissed him off.

Jayne doesnt want to go home. Its lonely there.
He grabs Vera and heads out. The only "woman" he can trust.

He considers shooting up the Whomping Willow on his way past, but decides against it.
Slipping into the school, even fully armed is easier then he thought.

He looks around warily, but is tired.
He decides to sleep in the one place where he knows no one will look for him.

No one sees when Jayne Cobb slips into the detention room.
No one knows if he will return.

Marty goes to detention

Marty walks into detention hall after his breakfast at Luke's.

He sees Jayne asleep, curled up on a table snuggled up with his rifle.

Marty quietly sits down so he doesn't wake him and reads his most recent issue of Discovery magazine.

*rover waits paitently for student to surrender any and all firearms, to be returned, empty, at the end of detention.*

Marty reveals that he is only carrying a cross, a ballpoint pen and his lunch that he packed earlier in the morning.

"Sorry Rover. Nothing lethal."

*satisfied, rover rolls off and stakes out a spot by the door to catch other detenionees as they come in*
