The Kludge's Guide to the Universe | Dangershop, Wednesday Afternoon (Week 4)

"Now that you've mastered the art of the clever escape, it's time to master the speedy one."

Harper tapped a control, bringing up the empty cells from last week. "After all, breaking out of your cell is only the beginning."

"Your objective today is to make it to the spaceport on the other side of this dangerous, seedy city. You can split up, stay together, try to meet up with other escapees, then beg, bluff, and bribe your way though the city. One caveat though, keep violence to a minimum, not only does it attract attention, attacking your pursuers makes it personal. This goes double for deaths. You kill someone? You fail the exercise, as does everyone you're with at the time."

[ooc: The guards and inhabitants of the city are moddable for the most part since I'm kinda brain dead tonight but there might be a surprise or two.]

[ooc: OCD threads coming are up. Post away!]

The map was helpful, but it would've been even more helpful had the directions been in English, and had Tempe had even an inkling as to where she started from. A nice big arrow saying You Are Here would've been nice.

Still, many an hour, a wrong turn or 12 and several dozen colourful characters who weren't the least bit trustworthy later, Tempe was finally making her way toward the spaceport. A little bruised, a little dirty, but nonetheless still in one piece, she hoped this little simulation would be over soon. She was tired.

Using the map, John wonders what Tyr would do in this situation.

After thinking on that for awhile, he decides that Tyr's far too bulky and just follows the map out of town, falling into mud at times, getting hit by an errant elbow to the nose.

And now he's thinking that being Tyr would help because he could've decked Mr. Sharp Elbow.

Still, Tyr isn't quick and he'd probably only run if Harper called because they were obviously so in love.

John gets a beer thrown at him by one local who thinks, by moving his daughter aside with an arm, that he'd proposed to her and he didn't much like that.

Stupid city.

The city was Fry's undoing. There was a bar. A bar that didn't card him. A bar that didn't card him with colorful futuristic drinks. Even the drinks in the year 3000 weren't this pretty, but then they were pretty much into being 20th century retro with their drinks.

He ran into the bar and ordered the biggest, funkiest colored drink.
