Veronica was sadly coffee-less this morning, as last night had been so busy at work and she had been running late to make it to the classroom on time.

"Good morning," she greeted once everyone had arrived. She frowned when she noted that Nadia wasn't there. "I know the syllabi I gave you at the beginning of the semester said we'd be doing a section on Fashion Photograhy this week, but given the unexpected trip to Washington, D.C. this weekend, I decided to switch things up and teach you about Documentary Photography."

She gave a very brief, but informative lecture on the subject.

"Now, you can spend some time in the darkroom, developing your photos. Don't forget that this Friday is the School Art Fair and I'd love to see you all submit something. If you don't have anything you like yet, I can arrange for the darkroom to be open tomorrow for you."

After the darkroom, they returned to the classroom.

"Let's brainstorm on this week's prompts," Veronica said. "They are Red, Sparkly, and Fire."

Once the brainstorming session was over, she grinned. "Good job today guys. I hope to see you all on Friday at the Art Fair and don't forget about the field trip on Sunday. Bel and Cameron, could I talk to you guys for a minute please?"

[Long note today: remember that post I made two weeks ago about my office move? That's finally happening tomorrow, so I'll be offline from around 1pm EST until I get home from work (which may be a little later than my usual 5:30 EST if I'm not done with my last minute packing). I'll pick up any pings at that time.]

"Pyrokinesis," Zack frowned. "Interesting, I thought it was just a myth."

"Not where I come from," Bel said. "It's fairly common."

"I'm guessing that there would a lot of demons where you come from then?"

Bel nodded. "I don't know any exact numbers, but the Underworld is full of demons."

"Please tell me you're speaking metaphorically when you say 'Underworld'."

"Caverns and tunnels underground, lit by a hellish red glow?" Bel said. "Not a metaphor at all."

"I was afraid you'd say that."

"I'd offer to take you for a visit, but I'm kinda a dead man if I step in there again," Bel said.

"You did something to make the other demons mad at you?" Zack asked.

"Decided to be good instead of evil," Bel explained simply.

"I suppose that would do it...wait... you were evil before?"

"I was," Bel growled. "But I had a change of heart."

"That's...nice."

Bel shrugged, then grinned. "I play better with others now. Mostly."
