Perfect Party Planning: First Meeting

Hello, and welcome to Perfect Party Planning! Thank you for your interest. Please, have a seat.

As you may remember, you had an assignment for the first class, a short essay on The Best Party I Ever Attended. Please leave that with me, and I will use it to take attendance.

I have prepared a syllabus for you to review.

Today's lecture will be on table settings. I hope you are all as excited as I am about the subject, there will be a quiz next week.

Enrollment is still open, if you'd like to sign up. We will meet once a week. Please speak to the Professor during class hours.

A roster will be posted once the add/drop period is over.

[OOC: Is it Friday? Looks like a Wednesday to me. Slow-play, all two of you. I'll be sure to reply.]

The best party I ever attended was a celebration of my parent's 20th wedding anniversary. The orchestra played a love song for every year of their marriage, and the dancing went on until dawn. The punch bowl was a fountain in the center of the room and the tables were covered with canapes and party favors. The entire mansion and grounds were thrown open and family and friends could be found in every room and corner from the dungeon cellar to the belfry attic. It was a glorious affirmation of our family and my parent's marriage and everyone still speaks of it as the celebration of the decade.
