Basketball Game - FH Gym - 2nd Half

Half the game had been played, but it was still too close to call as Blue and Gold Gremlins battled it out. 

There may have been another gremlin roaming around the gym as well.  But that was probably just the cheer squad's mascot.

First, half-time festivites, then the ball game would be decided.

"It's great to see friendly competition," Bel said. "Maybe we could challenge snow monsters and jello dragons to a basketball game and work things out that way!"

Veronica? Was totally snapping pictures. And wishing she had a video camera.

"That sounds like a very... non-violent approach to things," she agreed.

Archie was, in fact, getting video footage on his new phone and ignoring the fact that he had no idea as of yet how to get it off the phone later.

"Turning over a new leaf, Bel?" he asked, intrigued.

"You're the second person today to call me Bel, man," Bel said. "Is it some sort of call everyone by someone else's name today and no one told me?"

"What would you prefer we call you?" Veronica asked.

Veronica wasn't a detective for nothing. Bel's non-violent attitude, the bouncing and his use of the word 'man' could only add up to one thing. "Which is... Blair, of course," she said.

Archie was beginning to be worried that if Bel bounced one more time, his brain was going to explode.

"Not as much fun as you seem to be having," he said. And braced himself for another bounce.

"Of course, our day is so much better now that you stopped by to talk to us," Veronica said, trying really hard not to laugh.

Bel beamed. "I'm glad I'm not interrupting or anything," he said. "But I wanted to say hi."

Archie was still recording, and had about three minutes' worth of memory left. "That was very thoughtful of you, Bel . . . er, Blair," he replied, relieved that as of yet there hadn't been more bouncing.

"Yes, very thoughtful," Veronica echoed, finally clueing in to the fact that Archie was recording and realizing that this was just one of the many reasons she loved him. Her stores of Bel blackmail material were growing rapidly.

"Are you having a good time today?" she asked.

"It's been a great day!" Bel said, bouncing some more. "I talked to Cally and Parker, and Parker is going to talk to Bel about bringing Becky and Miho to LA so we can talk to Angel about setting up an interdimensional underground railroad for the girls they're trying to save from the Fourth Sin."

Archie was amazed at how much of that actually made sense to him. "It sounds like you've been very productive today," he said, although the bouncing did make his brain twinge a little bit.

"Did you know Becky and Miho are undercover nuns?" Bel said. "They're trying to get the girls at the Sin away from that kind of life."

There really just weren't words for that. Veronica wondered what Angel would think if she sent him the video.

"That's great that you want to help people," she said.

"I can't decide if I think we should keep him like this," Archie whispered to Veronica.

Archie wrapped his arms around her waist. "We can't taser him too, can we?"

Bel watched the two of them whisper and blushed. "Do you want me to go away so you can be alone?" he said.

"No, it's fine," Veronica assured him before leaning over to Archie again. "It would be like kicking a puppy," she whispered.

"I don't mind," Bel said, bouncing a little. "You two enjoy the game. There's plenty of other things for me to do now!" He smiled at them and bounced away.
