Basketball Game - FH Gym - 2nd Half

Half the game had been played, but it was still too close to call as Blue and Gold Gremlins battled it out.

There may have been another gremlin roaming around the gym as well. But that was probably just the cheer squad's mascot.

First, half-time festivites, then the ball game would be decided.

Okay, he hadn't been dreaming it. Cameron tried to pull his leg back and leaned down to see what was going on and found their mascot under the bench. "Having fun?"

Nadia hissed at him and grinned, showing off sharp teeth with bits of towel stuck in them.

That wasn't exactly comforting and Cameron took a step back. "You okay under there?"

Nadia snapped her teeth at him and took a picture.

Then squeaked at the bright light of the flash and hissed again.

Cameron blinked against the flash. Reasling that this wasn't their mascot, he slowly took another step back not wanting to get bitten. "Uh nice gremlin. Are you looking for a banthabell? Anakin has those."

Nadia chittered for a bit, possibly asking who Anakin was.

Sadly enough, Cameron didn't understand a word of the chittering. "How about some gum?" Hey, if it chewed on that, it at least wouldn't bite. Right?

Nadia hissed. She might have found some old gum under the bleachers earlier and not enjoyed the way it stuck to her foot.

Hissing was bad, that much he knew. "Okay, no gum," he assured the gremlin, trying to sound calming. "Do you want to come from under there?" He looked around nervously for back up.

Nadia wrapped her claws around the edge of the bench and hung from the bottom of it in a crouch.

Cameron definitely didn't like the sight of those claws either, but the teeth were worrying him the most. When he spotted Blair (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/957024.html?thread=50559328#t50559328) standing to the side, he got an idea. Leaving Nadia for a second, he went over to talk to Blair.

Nadia twisted her head to try to watch what he was doing.

Blair came over and bent down to look under the bench. "Hey there, man. Can I ask you a favor?"

Nadia chittered at him and clutched the bench tighter.

"You need to keep away from the sidelines during the game." Blair pointed at a pair of spare shoes under the bench. "It's for your own safety too, just look at how big those shoes are!"

Nadia wondered if the shoes tasted good, then blew a raspberry at Blair.

Blair rolled his eyes and pointed to the bleachers. "You can go back there and hang out, but not on the sidelines." He glanced over his shoulder to check and see if Cam or GOB were watching. "Come on, man, I'm supposed to be doing whatever the players ask here but I really don't want to have to catch you."

Catch her? As if. Nadia hissed at Blair and swiped one hand full of claws at him.

"Hey!" Blair scooted back and frowned. "That's not very nice." He reached up a hand to scoot the gremlin back.

Nadia snapped at him and skittered out of reach.

Blair crawled under the bench towards the gremlin. "Come on, little guy. Don't make this harder. We'll go and get an ice cream or something."

Nadia hissed and swiped a claw at Blair's face.

"Knock it off!" Blair dove for the gremlin, scattering water bottles and towels that were left under the bench.

Nadia snapped a picture of this, then skittered back again, towards the bleachers, snickering as she went.

"Wise choice, man!" Blair scooted out from under the bench and wiped off his shirt. "Thanks for cooperating!"
