Game, FH Gym, 1 p.m. FHT

The gym was ready for the game assuming nothing crazy happened during detention, with a shiny floor, clean new nets, and two perfect basketballs lolling about. Everything was ready for the rematch between the blue and gold gremlins. Last time, gold had eked out a victory; this time, it was anyone's game.

Play ball.

[OOC: Wait for OCD. This post is open throughout the day; a post for the second half will be made when we're ready for it.]

As was made painfully evident by the trajectory (or lack thereof) of his shot, Conner still hadn't quite gotten the hang of this whole shooting thing, because hello, soccer player.

Airball.

Ouch.

Peter jumped up to grab Conner's "shot" as it came back down. He looked up towards the basket but was at an odd angle so he dribbled to the side and passed to Cameron. Who hopefully was in a better position.

As Cameron couldn't find a way around Tyler, he turned and passed back to Peter, hoping he had more room to move now.

Peter snagged the pass out of the air and, finding himself free of defenders, shot the ball.

And missed.

Conner snagged the ball, pivoted out kind of awkwardly, and dribbled himself down the baseline into the corner. He thought he saw Greg open, so he fired a chest pass toward him.

Greg caught it, reeling back a little, and found himself almost directly under the basket.

He jumped up, trying to do one of those really cool dunks...and failed, causing the ball to bounce off the rim and ricochet towards Tyler.

Anders thought he saw an opening to steal the ball, and Lords of Kobol only knew how he managed to succeed without incurring a foul. He even had a good opening for a shot, which he took -- and much to his own amazement, actually made.

Sure, the ball bounced off the back of the rim, teetered precariously for a few moments, and then finally rolled in, but a shot was a shot, right?

Greg caught it, hoping the same thing.

He did, this time. But barely.

Who cares? He got one in. Go him.

There might have been a tiny bit of dancing, but he wouldn't admit it.
