Game, FH Gym, 1 p.m. FHT

The gym was ready for the game assuming nothing crazy happened during detention, with a shiny floor, clean new nets, and two perfect basketballs lolling about. Everything was ready for the rematch between the blue and gold gremlins. Last time, gold had eked out a victory; this time, it was anyone's game.

Play ball.

[OOC: Wait for OCD. This post is open throughout the day; a post for the second half will be made when we're ready for it.]

Conner went up to the center circle center court for kicktipoff, too.

The ref stepped up to the center line. Once he saw that both teams were ready, he blew the whistle and tossed the ball up.

Zack jumped up and hit the ball towards Cameron.

Cameron caught the ball, dodged a Gold player and passed to Peter.

Peter caught the pass and, finding himself in an open position, dribbled up the line and made an easy layup.

Conner took the ball out of bounds after the shot, smacked it, and spotted Greg open down the court.

Wait, was Greg on his team?

. . . well, Conner'd just passed to him, so hopefully he was now.

Greg was mildly startled, but decided maybe this was one of the intricacies of basketball that he didn't quite understand.

In any case, he flung the ball in Tyler's direction, and the other boy made a neat shot. Blue team gets the rebound.

Greg was kind of confused, but whatever.

Cameron caught the ball. He dribbled like a crazy man and showed off those skills that makes the RNG love him.

Greg snagged the ball and took it out of bounds.

Being deeply confused, he bounced the ball for a moment before simply throwing it into a nest of players.

The boy had no idea which team he was on, omg. But he was totally not saying anything. He didn't want to look stupid.

Conner, who was also confused but more shallowly than deeply confused, somehow ended up with the ball.

Not having expected this, he lofted it toward the basket in a highly ill-advised move, only to watch it clank off . . . the side of the backboard. Fabulous.

John gets the rebound and tries to shoot it up.

It's nowhere NEAR the basket. It does catch a lot of air though. That John, he's so talented.

Peter jumped up to grab the rebound. Pivoting around a defender, he quickly chest-passed the ball to Anders.

Anders dribbled out to the top of the key, pulled up, and realized he had a lousy angle on the basket from here, so he bounce-passed quickly to Cameron.

"Mitchell, heads up!"

Cameron caught the ball and dribbled to the basket. Jumping up, he dunked it into the basket.

Whoot! Go blue! Go blue! He did a small dance.
