Callisto had two lock boxes today, rather than just one. "Shoes in the first box, clothes in the second, everything except your underwear." The expression on her face suggested that anyone who objected would lose the underwear too.

After everyone had removed their clothing and placed it in the box, Callisto continued "If you spend a prolonged period of time in the wilderness, then it is more than likely whatever clothing you were wearing at the time will come under a considerable amount of wear and tear, especially if it wasn't designed for the environment you're in. The results can be… unpleasant to say the least.

"Luckily, it is possible to repair, and even make clothing from items found in the wilderness. Animal skins, some kinds of tree barks, vines, sinew. The possibilities, if not endless, are at least more varied than you'd think. Even luckier for you, I'm not making you hunt and forage for the raw materials.

"I think you can guess the rest of today's lesson. Use the materials I've provided to make garments to replace the ones you were wearing before. I know the equipment might be a primitive compared to what some of you may be used to, all bone needles and stone knives, but well, you'll just have to deal."

"Get to it," Callisto said. "And as an extra incentive, you're not getting your clothes back until next week, so make sure that you put a decent effort into the clothes."

"Cal," Bridge says with a frowny face. "I need my uniform back."

Callisto rubbed her eyes. "You'll get it back next week."

"I only have the one. I need it *this* week."

"Then you shouldn't have worn it to this class."

"It's my uniform. I'm *supposed* to wear it to class," he scowls at her more. "You still haven't slept."

"Bridge, you knew what I do in this class. And I will."

Okay, Bridge *really* does not like having to resort to threats, but he needs the uniform back.

"You know, there's a certain vampire of our mutual acquaintance that might be interested in knowing all about that."

Callisto might have meeped a tiny wee bit. "You wouldn't."

"I would."

"Bridge, don't, please."

Okay, the "please" is... almost enough to make him relent. But he needs his uniform back.

"I *need* my uniform back, Cal," he says.

"And if I give it back, you won't?"

Bridge nods.

Callisto jerked her head at the box with the clothes. "Don't let the others see."

"Thank you," Bridge says honestly, and heads off to sneakily get his uniform back.
