The computer lab is meeting outside today under a tent with Help Desk emblazoned across the front. Each student has their own workstation complete with phone, toolbox and nifty pocket protector.

"As you can see by my mad sign making skillz, we're going to be manning the help desk today." Abby smiled. "As geeks there is a 99.9% chance that someone is going to ask you to fix their computer. Seriously guys, it's going to happen. You need to know your stuff. Not only how to fix technology...but how to deal with people who don't know how to use it."

"Three rules you have to remember." Abby paced and raised her fingers as she counted them off. "One, not everyone is a geek so remember to tone down the techspeak. Two, people will do incredibly stupid things to their computer, try not to cry over the phone when they tell they've never done a virus scan. Three, the first response is always reboot. It doesn't matter that the problem couldn't be solved by that, it's always the first response."

"Okay, the phone lines are open and people can walk in with a problem. Remember the rules, be polite and come to me if there's a problem you can't fix."

"...dirty?"

Xander shrugged, started doodling circles on the notebook near the phone, and sang, "If I were a donut, of you would I dream. You'd be my bismark, and I'd make you cream. If we both were donuts, in tenderness we'd roll..."

"Thank you for calling. Your call is very important to us. Please hol-" Waaaaaitaminute! Bridge recognises that voice.

"Xander?"

"I'd flip on my--- um. Hi." There seems to be a coughing fit occurring on the other end of the line.

"You okay?" Bridge asks. "What can I do for you?"

After a moment Xander catches his breath and says, "Actually I don't have a computer problem, I just wanted to ask you something and thought it'd be funny to call the tech support line. That'll teach me..."

Bridge actually manages not to laugh. "Okay, well... now you've got me, so... shoot."

"...........I can't remember."

Blink, blink, blink.

Bridge just stares at the phone for a few seconds. And then totally does laugh. Just a little.

"Hey, I've been on hold since, like, Monday. You'd forget too!"

"Aww," Bridge says. "I could... do something to make up for you being put on hold for so long?" Bridge suggests.

There's silence for a long moment, then, "On the phone?" It's hard to tell if he sounds horrified or intrigued. Possibly both.

"Uh, no!" Bridge says, flailing and trying not to drop the phone. "Later! Much later! When there are not other people around!"

"Ohthankgod." Yeah, that'd be mostly relief. Mostly.

"So, um, see you later, then?"

"Yup." There's a little gulp and then "loveyoubye." And a click.
