"I see," Sakurazaki says with a nod, eyes dropping a bit because she feels bad for getting Maia a little flustered. "Titles are so subjective, anyway," she adds with a smile she hopes seems encouraging, despite the fact that it was coming from someone who still called her best friend of ten years by her official social status title rather than her name.

"Yeah." Maia said with a nod. "I mean I'm just happy being with her and what we have it fine with me you know. I don't need the title of Susan's girlfriend to make me happy." Maia said in a manner that didn't quite fit how she wanted it to sound. Underneath, she would love to be known as Susan's girlfriend.

"That is what's most important, anyway, being with someone and happy with them," Sakurazaki smiles. That was something she could say with a lot more confidence.

Maia's smile brightened up. "You're right. And she makes me unbelievably happy." Maia said in an almost gushing voice. "Does Jude make you happy?" Maia said gently.

Sakurazaki beams at Maia's near-gushing; it was really cute and sweet, and made Sakurazaki think of Ojou-sama. The beam settles into as shy smile as she goes to answer Maia's question, a shoulder lifting bashfully, a soft sound of affirmation as she nods lightly. "He does..."

After saying it, the smile gets a little bigger.

Maia grinned. "He's a really great guy. Very special." Maia said fondly, she adored Jude.

Sakurazaki releases a happy little sigh. "Yeah, he is." She was pretty fond of him, too. "How did you two get to know each other so well?"

"We took a cooking class together, bonded over brownies and whatnot." Maia said cheerfully. "We had met on the first day he was here I think it was and then just ended up in the same class. It was pretty cool actually. How did you guys meet?"

"Cooking class, huh?" Sakurazaki grins a little, thinking of all the fun she had been having collaborating with Alphonse for the workshop in this second semester. Apparantly, brownies and bonding just went hand-in-hand. "We just got to know each other from being on the same floor. It's strange, really. I don't remember how exactly we met, but I do remember just drifting into his room one day because I was feeling a little down and there was a lot of noise coming from his general direction because he was playing video games. I sat down, we talked for a bit; I remember feeling relaxed for the first time since I arrived at Fandom. And I guess that's kind of...that's kind of where it all began, y'know?" There's a soft, somewhat dreamy cloud in her eyes. She found it strange that she was talking about such things, but it felt really nice...

"Yeah. He's got that mellow effect on people. It's nice though." Maia took in her dreamy look and smile gently. It was so nice to see that and knowing it was connected to her friend Jude made it all the more special to Maia. She was thrilled that someone as nice as Jude had someone to care about that was as sweet at Setsuna.

There's a quiet chuckle with her smirk. "That mellow effect is such a blessing...I get so easily strung out sometime."

Maia started giggling. "I can imagine. He's so laaaiiiidddd back. How could you not."

Sakurazaki laughs at the oh-so-characteristic drawing out of sounds, taking it as a bit of an impersonation. "That," she points idly at Maia as she leans on the table a bit, "was pretty good."

Maia laughed harder. "I love when he says 'bra' I wasn't sure what a bra was when I first met him." She said turning red from laughing. "Does he call you that?"

Maia's laughter only fuels Sakurazaki's, and she's laughing pretty hard too...for her, anyway. She's definately not red-faced, but getting Sakurazaki to laugh much was always an accomplishment. "He does; at first, I thought it was some sort of strange honorific like we have in Japan. Although, really, I guess it pretty much is, inherent to the titling system of the Jude-verse."

...did she just say 'Jude-verse'? Chuckling, she shakes her head a little.

Maia stifled her laughing "Jude-verse" She started to giggle now, "Like a Jude fandom." She said cracking up all over again. "Oh goodness. Oh that is awesome."

Chuckling, Sakurazaki grins at Maia's laughter, waits for it to settle down a bit before asking, "And what about Susan? What's she like? I don't have the benefit of knowing her yet, I don't think..."

Maia got a soft smile on her face, her eyes looking completely happy. "She's a bit rough when you first meet her sometimes. She's a commander in Earth Force, it's sort of like the army." Maia said to explain. "But once you get to know her she's...well she blows my mind at regular intervals." Maia said grinning like a fool now "And oh, the way she kisses..." Maia took a breath and then smiled again.

Sakurazaki smiled right along with Maia up until that last part, where the smile drops away to be replaced with a very vibrant blush and a slightly nervous chuckle. She wanted to know about Susan, yes, but she hadn't quite expected Maia to go into such...uhhh....detail.

"Like the army, huh?" Intentionally focusing on that part to divert attention away from such details? No, not at all... "Sounds like her and I could get along." Sakurazaki hoped so, anyway.

Maia came around in her 'lost on Susan's kisses for a moment thought' and she nodded enthusiastically. "Oh you would. With you liking to use swords and fighting and things. I know Susan can fight. I've seen her do it. I bet you guys are going to get along great." Maia said in a rush of words and smiling.

"Now I really wanna meet her," Sakurazaki grins. "Mention that a person can fight, and I'm sold."

Maia was practically bouncing in her seat. "Awesome. I'll talk to her and see when we can all get together for dinner or something. Maybe at Cafe Fina. She's a brilliant fighter."

"Actually, it's interesting that you mention Cafe Fina," because now Sakurazaki was practically bouncing in her seat. "I managed to earn some gift certificates for Jude and myself from Mr. Pennyworth in class yesterday. So, not only would the company be exceptional, but the food cheap as well."

Maia looked thrilled. "Wonderful. But don't worry about paying for it. It's my treat you can save the certificates for a date that's just you and Jude." Maia said with a pleased smile.

Sakurazaki looks momentarily doubtful. Hesitant. "You sure? I don't mind at all..."

"It would be my pleasure, besides, Jude bought me a slurpee the other day so it's even." She said with a nod.

Although she'd never been very good at math, Sakurazaki didn't quite see a slurpee and dinner being balanced sides of the scale, but she wasn't ever one to turn down an offer too much. "That sounds lovely, then. I really look forward to it, Maia; thank you."

"Your welcome." Maia said happy that she seemed ok with the idea. "So tell me how do you like school so far, I know you've just been here the summer but what do you think of it?" Maia liked Sakurazaki, she saw very easily why Jude liked her so much.

"I like it a lot," she says with a grin. "Once you get past the slight language and culture barriers, Fandom's really not much different from my school back in Japan. But I feel that I've been able to make friends much easier here, because I don't have the sorts of obligations and attachments that I did back home..."

"...Which actually reminds me, I should probably get going to get ready to head to the salle. Peter and I didn't decide on a specific time, so I'd better get over there in case he arrives early ~~and because mun has to go to work~~."

"But it was really nice talking to you, Maia. Thanks for joining me."

"It was nice talking to you too. I'm glad you're getting settled. So I'll talk to Jude and he can get with you about a time next week. Have a nice day." She said with a bright smile as she took a bite of her apple.
