Summer Picnic, Main Campfire, Friday afternoon

At lunchtime, the campfire area was set up with blankets, baskets, picnic tables, food, and ant problems. The groundskeeper who brought the ants was later sent home for the rest of the day. It turned out that he didn't really like picnics.

[OOC: I suck and completely forgot about this. Sorry about the relative lateness. It's a sunny and fairly comfortable day. I MOD WEATHER! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!]

"...and it's my fault," Rory said softly. "I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault," Anakin said. "It wasn't anyone's fault. It just happened."

He bit his lip. "It's just not something I like to remember."

"I don't blame you. And it's my fault. I do yearbook. I'min charge of their funraisers. That whole thing was my fault." Rory plucked at the blanket. "Anyway. Apropos of nothing, did you know me-as-Paris can fire a gun?"

Anakin reached over and gave Rory's hand a squeeze, his eyes saying everything he couldn't verbalize in public. "I didn't know that," he said. "Bet you were quite a badass."

"I totally was," she said with a small smile. "I mean, I knocked Logan out."

"If he thought he was Aaron, he totally deserved it," Anakin said.

"He was being gross. That's the only time I've met Aaron, even kind of," Rory said, making a face. "Logan had quite the goose egg from it. I felt bad."

"I don't," Anakin said, smiling.

"You should've heard the lecture I got from Obi-Wan after that weekend was over. It lasted forever."

"Obviously not, since you're talking to me now and he's not here lecturing," Rory said.

"Okay, maybe not literally forever, but he actually called to talk to me. It lasted for hours."

"You have a penchant for exaggeration, you know."

"Do I?" Anakin asked, grinning.

"Little bit," Rory said, holding up her thumb and forefinger. "Anyway. What are your plans for the rest of the day?"

Anakin flipped back onto his back and covered his eyes with his arm. "You're looking at them," he said. "Oh. How was Bucky?"

"Small and adorable. Angela and Marty are going to be great parents some day," Rory said with conviction, rolling onto her stomach beside him. "I've never seen someone as good with a baby as Marty was, aside from people who actually are parents."

"Huh," Anakin said. "Somehow I can kind of see that."

"I got pictures," Rory said, grinning. "I should take pictures of you with Bucky sometime, since you two're adorable, too."

"I'm not so sure about the adorable part," Anakin muttered, "but you can take pictures."

"I'm sure," Rory decided. "I still need to figure out what I'm doing for my other two photos."

"Earth and leaves, right?" Anakin asked.

Rory nodded.

"Could I put dirt on your nose or something and do that for earth, maybe?"

"...I guess..." Anakin said slowly. "Do they have to be photos you took this week?"

Rory nodded, eyeing the dirt beyond the blanket.

"As long as you don't drop leaves into my hair or something, I'm fine," Anakin said, putting his arm back over his eyes.

Rory poked a little dirt onto his forehead. "Move your arm."
