Summer Picnic, Main Campfire, Friday afternoon

At lunchtime, the campfire area was set up with blankets, baskets, picnic tables, food, and ant problems. The groundskeeper who brought the ants was later sent home for the rest of the day. It turned out that he didn't really like picnics.

[OOC: I suck and completely forgot about this. Sorry about the relative lateness. It's a sunny and fairly comfortable day. I MOD WEATHER! MWAHAHAHAHAHA!]

"An outdoors slumber party," Cedric says, giving it a name. "And really, Jack, you can be innocent too."

All right, that might be tinged with a small smile and a quiet laugh.

"Exactly," he agreed, then stared up at Cedric, very perplexed. "What do you mean?"

"I mean what I said." He meets Jack's eyes and smiles again. "I've seen innocence in you. It's an attractive quality. Along with everything else."

"Hmmmm." Jack tried to frown and look offended, but he was having a hard time maintaining it. A huge smile kept trying to escape. "I'm with you on the attractive part," he said as he sat up, leaning forward until his nose touched Cedric's. "But innocence?" And he kissed him, deep and firm, tongue darting out to touch his lips. "That I'm not so sure of."

"I beg to differ," he mumbles, quite content to be kissed. "Should I prove it to you?"

Jack raised a dubious eyebrow. "You think you can?" And his hand found it's way under the edge of Cedric's shirt, to stroke the skin above his hip.

"I could..." He trails off, smiling at the touch. "Try. I could make a list!"

Both Jack's eyebrows shot up. "You think," and he kissed him again, lingering to nip gently at his bottom lip, "you think there's enough examples you can make a list?" His hand crept to rest on Cedric's stomach as he leaned over him.

"Yeah," he manages to say, nodding quickly. "A good list. We could frame it and put it next to the plant."

Jack had to laugh. "Yeah, okay. A framed list." He kissed the corner of Cedric's mouth, then the edge of his jaw, before lying on his side next to him, his hand still splayed across his stomach. "The plant will laugh itself sick."

"I'll get started on that project as soon as possible," he laughs and covers Jack's hand with his own. "The plant will be jealous that I didn't make it it's own list. And hate me some more."

"That plant gets way too much attention." Jack turned his hand so he could twine his fingers with Cedric's. "But I still don't understand why you think it hates you."

"Because I'm not you," he says simply. "You're better looking."

"Hmm. I am pretty cute, it's true," he conceded with a grin. "But so are you and looks aren't everything. I think the plant's jealous of your sweetness and your good nature, and your..." He fell silent, looking for the right word. "And your heart," he finished quietly.

That makes him smiles and he brings their joined hands up so he can kiss Jack's knuckles.

"That's going on my list."
