Flight & Flying [Friday morning]

The flight shed was closed when the workshop arrived. "Today we're heading up to Selkie Cove," Anakin said, smiling. "We're going to hang glide off the cliff. And before you ask, yes, there are helmets involved."

He looked around at them all. "And if you fall, I can catch you. But do us all a favor and don't let go, okay?"

[OOC: Up early because I'm out of town beginning tomorrow. Anakin'll be super quiet, so please don't try to plunge to your deaths.]

"I-" She closes her mouth, then tries again. "I'll remember that."

"Vladdie's good with the head-sitting, though. Just FYI."

"He can sit on John's," Aeryn decides.

"I think he may have done that once," Rory mused.

Aeryn frowns. "Really? Well, good, he'll be used to it."

"One time John was a weetiny Vladdie-like doggie," Rory reminded her. "They're practically BFF because of it."

"Oh, right. There was something about Vladdie's imaginary friend... Do I have to feed it, too?"

"I don't think Steve eats," she told her. "Or possibly he just eats air."

"Oh, well, luckily we have both of those things already."

"That is very convenient," Rory said, nodding.

Aeryn shakes her head. "I can't believe I'm doing this."

"It'll be fun!" Rory said again. "And if anything goes wrong, I'll have my phone on for emergencies almost the entire time."

"That's good to know," says Aeryn, who feels marginally better about this.

Rory grinned. "Thanks, seriously."

She paused. "I think Draco's done," she said, looking at the hang gliders. "Should be your turn."

Aeryn gives her a little smile, and heads off for her turn.
