Tim had seen from teh syllabus what they were going to be covering today, and had handwavily gotten his wand/sword from teh weapons locker, stashing it in his duffel bag. He thought the magic of it might attract the kinds of things they were looking for, possibly be a nice conversation piece. He really should think about getting a scabberd for this thing.
