Applied Dadaism: Fun and Games (Main Campfire, Friday morning)

Artie was nowhere in sight.

There was, however, a note on one of the tables:

Greetings, campers! I hope everyone has had a very pipe week and that you are all thinking about the games you will present for your final project!

Today we are going to play hide and seek! But it is Dada hide and seek. I think by now you know what that means!

I have been practicing all week for today's game. I have gotten so good at it that I haven't been able to find myself yet. Please be careful. This could happen to you.

Go forth! And hide! And seek the others who are hidden! Have fun! I will see you next week, assuming I can find myself by then!

Artie! The strongest man . . . in the world!

Yes, he even wrote in italics.

[ooc: I'm still at the beach. Artie will find himself eventually, or some special, lucky person may be able to find him when I get home. We'll see. Thanks to walter_n_wires for the class idea!]

Tyler breaks off a leafy twig and tries to find out if River is ticklish. Making someone hiding with you laugh seems kind of dada.

Tyler scrambles down the tree, feeling like an idiot.

"Crap. I was just trying to be funny. Did you hurt yourself?"

River looked up into the blue sky. Then she saw Tyler's face. "Blue sky," she said. "Bad fall. I'll be ok."

It was strange to see stars during the day. Her head hurt. "You're not an idiot. You're beautiful," River said. "Lie down and look at the sky."

Tyler took another moment to feel guilty as he stood there looking at River.

Then he let it go. "Okay," he said, joining her, flat on his back in the grass.

"I like the clouds."

"And it's eating a bowl of soup," Tyler agreed.

"Definitely." River smiled and glanced at Tyler. It was good to have people around who could understand your way of looking at the world.

Tyler smiled back, unaware he was potentially responsible for making River hide under the bed all weekend.

"Vegetable soup," he said decisively.

Yes, of course she's hidden. It's the perfect hiding spot.

Stark considered hiding places for a while. Then he wandered off to find a good spot. Or a few good spots, in case the first one didn't work out.
