Wilderness Survival - Week 4 | Thursday Morning, A Clearing in the Woods

Callisto had two lock boxes today, rather than just one. She pointed at the first box. "Shoes."

Then she pointed at the second box. "Now your clothes. Everything except your underwear."

After everyone had removed their clothing and placed it in the box, Callisto continued "If you spend a prolonged period of time in the wilderness, then it is more than likely whatever clothing you were wearing at the time will come under a considerable amount of wear and tear, especially if it wasn't designed for the environment you're in. The results can be… unpleasant to say the least.

"Luckily, it is possible to repair, and even make clothing from items found in the wilderness. Animal skins, some kinds of tree barks, vines, sinew. The possibilities, if not endless, are at least more varied than you'd think. Even luckier for you, I'm not making you hunt and forage for the raw materials.

"I think you can guess the rest of today's lesson. Use the materials I've provided to make garments to replace the ones you were wearing before. I know the equipment might be a primitive compared to what some of you may be used to, all bone needles and stone knives, but well, you'll just have to deal.

"Get to it," Callisto said. "And as an extra incentive, you're not getting your clothes back until next week, so make sure that you put a decent effort into the clothes."

"Why aren't you wearing anything?" Sam called to Alec. At least, he called it in the general direction in which he thought Alec was sitting. Because looking? Not an option. "We were supposed to keep our underwear."

"I wasn't wearing any," he called back, trying to push a bone needle through heavy fur.

There may have been another whimpering noise coming from Sam. "I don't think Dean would appreciate you sitting on things naked. That's just...it's unclean, dude."

"Offering a lap, Sammy? 'Cause otherwise I don't see much of a choice, and I'm not standing." Alec grinned a little, awaiting whatever new trauma he'd just inflicted.

Sam just barely managed to keep the volume of his voice in check as his eyes widened. "No, I am not offering you a lap. Must you always say the one thing that's guaranteed to make me sick?"

"Hey, you asked," Alec said, looking over at Sammy - and Buffy, as it happened, which was no hardship. "How was I supposed to know we'd be stripping in class today?"

Buffy noticed him looking and cheerfully waved her big shiny bone needle at him, before going back to making her skirt. She'd figured out how to use the sinew now. She was very proud.

"I'll admit, you couldn't have known. But that's still gross." Sam caught the look between Alec and Buffy, and frowned.

"Why?" Alec smirked. "Just because you didn't want to see your brother naked?"

"I don't think Dean would appreciate 99% of the people in this class seeing him naked. I know you'd like to think he's some kind of exhibitionist like you obviously are, but it isn't true."

"What the hell was I supposed to do? I'm following instructions and making clothes," he said, frowning at the skin he was working with.

"Well then, I guess I'll let you go back to being a good, hard-working boy," Sam said, snickering. "Oh, and stop ogling Buffy? That's really kind of rude."

If Sam or anyone else had happened to be looking Alec's way, they would have seen a blinding flash of light and a naked guy looking around dazedly.

"Oh thank god," Dean said with relief then looked down at himself.

"Where the fuck are my clothes?"

Buffy looked up from her skirt again. It was getting stitched together. The stitches where huge though. She gave Dean a narrow look, then waved. "Hi Dean! Callisto has them." She pointed to Callisto's clothing collection. It looked like a local Salvation Army outlet by now.

Dean looked up at the speaker and found himself staring at Buffy in her underwear. And beside her Sammy in his underwear. "Why are we all naked? And why am I more naked?"

Buffy rolled her eyes. "Why do you think?"

Dean's brain was beginning to work beyond OMG Naked!. If for some reason this class involved stripping to your underwear and he was sitting here wearing only what god gave him, that would mean... "Alec was going commando."

"Yup." Parker applauded without looking at him. "Welcome back. Make a kilt, and you can get home with your dignity intact."

"Yeah, I think it might be a little late for that," Dean muttered, making sure the skin covering his lap was covering his lap. "I'm pretty sure my dignity is already in tiny little pieces."

"Maybe your dignity, but your pride?" Parker gave him a thumb's up, still not looking at him, but smirking just a tiny bit.

"There is that," Dean admitted, with a small smirk. Holding the skin so it doesn't slide off, he sorted through others, and picked up two others and some sinew thread. He'd make a quick loincloth kinda thing which should at least allow him to stand up without flashing everybody again.

Then he'd be able to go ask Callisto for his pants back.

Somehow, having Dean sitting there naked was less mortifying than having Alec in the same body, and Sam just couldn't hold back his laughter any longer. "You realize that I'm not going to let you forget about this for a very long time, don't you?"

Dean rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up."

"Damn right I'm going to laugh." Sam grinned. "How often am I going to get this kind of opportunity to do it?"

"Okay," Dean said, nodding. "Have your fun. But don't be surprised when you find itching powder in your underwear."
