Callisto had two lock boxes today, rather than just one. She pointed at the first box. "Shoes."

Then she pointed at the second box. "Now your clothes. Everything except your underwear."

After everyone had removed their clothing and placed it in the box, Callisto continued "If you spend a prolonged period of time in the wilderness, then it is more than likely whatever clothing you were wearing at the time will come under a considerable amount of wear and tear, especially if it wasn't designed for the environment you're in. The results can be… unpleasant to say the least.

"Luckily, it is possible to repair, and even make clothing from items found in the wilderness. Animal skins, some kinds of tree barks, vines, sinew. The possibilities, if not endless, are at least more varied than you'd think. Even luckier for you, I'm not making you hunt and forage for the raw materials.

"I think you can guess the rest of today's lesson. Use the materials I've provided to make garments to replace the ones you were wearing before. I know the equipment might be a primitive compared to what some of you may be used to, all bone needles and stone knives, but well, you'll just have to deal.

"Get to it," Callisto said. "And as an extra incentive, you're not getting your clothes back until next week, so make sure that you put a decent effort into the clothes."

"I can occasionally be fashionable," said Janet, maybe a touch defensively. She grinned. "Thank you. And no, when Callisto makes threats, I wouldn't take them lightly."

"I am *not* going to end up on the cheerleading squad." Parker shook her head at Aeryn. "And I am really interested in finding out who's going to win this one. 'Cause I don't think Aeryn gets how serious Call is." She poked holes down the edge of her fur with the tip of the knife. "You can make that into a fur toga in two seconds, you know. A little *long*, but..."

Janet snickered. "I'd mock, but then Cal would probably find a way to make Aeryn toss me around, and she's strong. Besides, I hate to say it, but this is a useful skill to have." She glared at Cal anyway, for principle's sake. "I hate to sound like I care, but a toga wouldn't look as nice."

Stabbing herself with one of the needles, Parker cursed and popped her thumb in her mouth. "No, but it'd be a lot less effort." She glared at her bundle of furs. "You shall not defeat me, dead skins of something that wasn't even mink."

Janet shuddered. "That is so unsanitary, Parker," she said, frowning. "I'm not going back to the dorms in a fur smock."

Parker took her thumb out of her mouth. "Cape. It'll look like I meant to do it." She wrapped a leaf around her finger, then suggested, "You could make a fur bikini, too, like I am. ALthough that's mostly for fun."

"That's not actually a bad idea," said Janet, nodding at Parker. "And a wrap to cover the bottom with." Because she'd already started on it. "You should wear yours to Jarod's workshop tomorrow. I'll have Liz bring her camera to get his expression on film."

Parker stared at Janet. Then grinned evilly. "Ooooooo."

"He won't know what hit him," said Janet, snickering.

"Serve him right, after this week. Heh. Gotta do it."
