Try Not to Die [Tuesday, 1st Period]

The portal at the causeway looked vaguely...off today, in a way that was hard to put a finger on. Oh, well, it was probably nothing to worry about.

After the fiasco of not coming back from Greece for several days, your teachers should probably be more concerned, but they weren't! "Welcome back," Anakin said. "We're getting close to the end of the summer and no one has died."

Be more enthusiastic about that, Anakin.

"Which means the class is working." Very helpful there, Ahsoka.

Anakin looked more enthusiastic about that. "We're good," he agreed. "Where are we going today again?"

Ahsoka looked at her booking notes, which were kind of smudged. "Something about a Prom?" Again, you should both know by now that this kind of vagueness was only good when it was you doing it on purpose.

"That seems fine," said the Jedi renowned for his decision making. "In you go."

On the other side of the portal lay a lush, wild landscape dotted with colourful, mysterious looking structures.

Also, everyone now looked like what could be best described as blobby, technicolor pingu.

Oops.

Well...that was a thing that happened.

The portal bipped back out of existence, revealing a big friendly sign that read:

Hello!
Cooperate!

"...I guess we're doing cooperative exercises today." Ahsoka said slowly, her nose expanding and contracting like a balloon as she spoke.

A trail led the class to one of the mysterious structures, that up close looked a lot more like brightly coloured playground equipment. In this case, it seemed to be a very tall (at least four pingu high) streetlight with a push button where the light bulb would've been.

If you can figure out a way to push the button, you'll be rewarded with a shower of confetti and what looks like an extremely large dog toy.

The trail keeps going into some bushland, where eventually you find another structure, in this case four large square pillars at the corners of a clearing with a box in the centre. Each pillar has a button on the side facing out of the clearing.

If the idea of pressing all the buttons at the same time seems a little simple, well, just think about what might be happening if Anakin had actually gotten to make these puzzles.

As the bushland changes from a flat plain to (still highly walkable) hills and valleys the trail forks. One side leads to five small bright platforms each with a glyph of a stick figure in various poses, while the other to a single, larger platform with telescopes pointed towards the various platforms, tiles of that stick figure doing even more poses, and a puzzle with slots for five tiles.

Eventually, the trail leads down to a picturesque beach, the grains of sand making squeaking noises as you step on them. There are a number of speakers set up around the beach, and there's a plinth with three recesses shaped like those weird dog toy things you've received for completing all those challenges.

..you have been carrying those weird dog toy things with you, right?

In any case, placing the objects in the recesses will start the speakers playing chill techno beats for you to listen to while you wait for the portal home.

Going by the conversations Anakin and Ahsoka are having with Portalocity...that may be a while.

They planned this. Totally. Just ignore how loud they're getting on the comm.

Anakin wasn't loud. He was emphatic...ally loud.
