2 Book 2 Club: The Boozening

Class was once again back at J,GoB's and in addition to the various spreads of pastries and books, there were also cocktail menus. (And mocktail menus for those in the class less ready to embrace day drinking than your teachers.)

"Welcome back." Isabela waved a mimosa in greeting. "It's time to level up your book club habits."

Aphra took a sip of her own umbrella laden drink before speaking. "Look, it's great to read good books, the whole nourish your mind with things that challenge you, and you should be doing that and finding joy in your own time, but that is not the point of this class. This class is all about the fun of finding those books that are the right kind of terrible and sharing while your buzzed on good company and possibly other things."

"Like booze." In case anyone had missed that part of the class name. "Though unlike the reading it's technically optional."

"So grab a book, find something juicy to share with the class, and introduce yourself with it."

Isabela and Aphra have found some doozies, but at least you can be assured that regardless of whether you go for a cocktail or a mocktail, neither Tino nor Tiny have been anywhere near the drinks.

Illyana was absolutely looking for the most ridiculous murder-mystery should could find, the more outlandish the better.

THEN she would get a drink. She wanted to find something utterly nonsensical sober, before she started drinking.

Wait... was that a copy of Women Warriors at the River of Blood? Mariner was in for a fine morning of cultural exchange with that and a mug of bloodwine.

One day, Mariner would remember that exactly little to none of the booze on the island was synethol before she drank it.
