//I got the sandwich instead. Felt like it was the better choice.// He has a one track mind now that he's on with the food. //Man... some Sumashijiru... some Nigirizushi... god if I don't miss Curry too...//

His utter distraction over food makes her grin a little. //"Pity I can't cook."//

But the real pity comes when she finally takes a bit of the fish stick.

//I'm okay at it. We can work together. Go out, get some indgredients and make something good. Meat is so cheap here that we could make pretty much anything.// He's eatting his salad with chopsticks, old habits die hard.

She grins, her mind already picturing the fourth floor kitchenette on fire, smoke billowing out into the hallway with them running around in confused chaos, until she picks up a bucket of water to douse the fire with and ends up missing it and getting Ranma instead. There's a little snort of a chuckle. //"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I miss a good Japanese meal..."//

//Might be fun anyway.// He picks up on her smile and smiles himself.

She just about nearly beams; they haven't even started fighting over anything yet! It was pretty incredible. //"We'll do it, then. But I'm warning you now, you'll have to do most of the work."//

//I don't mind. It's just better when you're not alone. Because you have someone else you're making it for.// Does that to sound sappy? He doesn't really have time to worry about it.

//"And you've got someone else to pawn the food off on if it doesn't turn out too well."// Sakurazaki chuckles slightly, remembering that morning when she'd forgotten how she can't eat eggs and Jude ended up having to choke them down. And then she blushes slightly, feeling like it was wrong of her to think of Jude at this moment. One of her eyes slides shut; stupid head, shut up for once.

//Well we've got a whole dorm-full of people for that. A lot of people will take free food. But not as many are willing to sit with you and make it.// He pauses for a moment. //Hey you know I'm thinking of getting a job? John said I should. He's a pretty smart guy. Even though he's an idiot.//

She grins at the oxymoron. //"John's the one with his arm in the sling, right? Was in your cabin? I ran into him the other night; it was interesting, to say the least. But a job would be pretty exciting...have any ideas as to where to apply? I know Jude and Tim work at that diner in town..."//

Her drifting conversation is due mostly to trying to avoid eating those fishsticks.

He notices her abhorance to them and tears off the end he's bitten on his sub and hands her the untouched half. //You want this instead? I don't mind.// He scratches his head. //I don't know where I'll work. I'll probably look around.//

She shakes her head. Despite how disappointed she is in them, she's craving fish. Any fish at this point. //"I'm fine,"// she assures him, then offers an encouraging smile. //"And good luck with the job search, Ranma."

She nods slightly. //"Maybe; Tuesdays are such busy days for me, though."//

//Well if you're bored I said. It's fine if you don't come.// He's not bitter about it. Okay only a LITTLE bitter.
