Hello, welcome, it's freezing.

"Why?" Henry asked, wrapping his arms around himself.

And then quickly unwrapping them as he ran to grab a parka to pull on over his neon green Shenanigans t-shirt.

"Because it's different than last week," Anakin said, nodding.

"It's bloody cold, is what it is," Henry said, struggling into his parka.

Students must choose a sled dog team and hitch them to a summer training sled. They must then take the dogs on a course and collect five different flags along the course, which they will trade for fur pelts at the end of the course. If they miss a flag, they have to take a penalty lap around the camp for each missed flag before they could obtain the pelts. They must then bring back the pelts to camp to receive their next clue.

Sairis had met dogs before Mutt. From a distance. Once or twice. Well, live ones, anyway.

Look, he had no idea what he was doing. The dogs apparently took this as a challenge. On the positive side, they seemed to be having a ton of fun. Just not doing what he wanted them to.

It just so happened that Cal was amazing with animals, and he didn't need to know much about sledding when he could let the dogs do their thing.

Vi maybe spent a bit too much time getting to know her sled team before she actually attempted sledding. In her defence, they were exceedingly fluffy.

"Wheeeeeeee!" Charlie was off like a flash and had a marvelous time racing around with the dogs.

In Sleds, students must use a sled (and a mandatory helmet) to race down a mountain course in less than 1 minute and 58 seconds to receive their next clue. If they fail to reach the end of the course before the allotted time, they would have to repeat the run.

In Beds, students must build a traditional Sámi dwelling known as a goahti and furnish the inside with furs and a fire pit. If the goahti is built and furnished to a Sámi elder's satisfaction, students would receive their next clue.

No. No more sleds. Building, Sairis could do. He'd maintained the tower for years now. He didn't even need to use magic to do it.

And he was used to an elder with strict standards.

Going down big hills should have been Cal's thing, but crashing into the sides of the course was also apparently his thing. He would never, ever admit that he was grateful for the helmet.

Vi was very good with her hands, but she was very much a city girl and tent-adjacent was not really in her wheelhouse. She was very much not making up any time here.

Are you kidding? Racing versus building?? Charlie was on the sled and zooming down the mountain like the wild thing she was.

Anakin and Ahsoka are waiting for you a quick car ride (which they provided drivers, they weren't evil) on the Sweden/Norway border.

Cal looked a little frantic as he crossed the finish line, until he realized he was the only one there. That was it, his whole day was made, even if he was freezing.

"Congratulations, you're first today," Anakin said.

Charlie came in right behind Cal, delighted and happy with her Swedish excursion. "Can we go again, please?"
