Archery Workshop #4, 6/13, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The setup should be starting to look kind of familiar to the students by now. Grass, sun, bows, arrows, targets. However, this week, the targets are somewhat smaller than they were the week before. Not absurdly small, just smaller.

Miho is sitting in a lounge chair under a shade umbrella, where she can watch all of her students, hopefully without getting shot. The sign-in sheet is on a card table next to her, along with a plate of doughnuts and a pitcher of somewhat sour lemonade with a stack of plastic cups.

On the portable blackboard is this message to the students: Shoot things. Not each other. Good luck! with a big smiley face drawn under it.

The ninja is in a disturbingly good mood, it would seem.

Gwynn was not known to have much fear or paying attention to glares. She had never noticed the red guy in class before, so she decided maybe she should try to make friends.

"Hello."

She may have been annoyingly cheerful.

Bel eyed Gwynn. "Hello," he said crankily.

"I'm Gwynn. You're new." she said, stating what was, to her, the obvious.

"No, I'm not," Bel said gruffly.

Gwynn nodded. "I've never seen you here before and I have never missed a class. I'm sure I would have noticed you before now."

Gwynn had never seen a demon, much less a cranky one. However, she had seen Prince John and Nottingham, so maybe her idea of cranky was different.

Bel wondered why she seemed so calm about this. "I'm Belthazor," he grumbled.

Gwynn tilted her head.

"I've met Bel. He's not as tall and he has pretty eyes... and apparently a girlfriend that can be cranky when it comes to him. He's also not red like you are." She dropped her voice. "Are you hiding out? Are you one of the Faeries?"

Bel's glare got stronger. "I'm not a faerie!" he growled.

Gwynn glared back. "You don't have to get all growly. What are you then?"

Gwynn looked at him, as if waiting for something more.

"What?" Bel said, getting annoyed by the staring.

Gwynn sighed like he should have known the answer to this.

"I'm waiting for you to tell me what you are." She shrugged. "Demon tells me nothing. Is it your name, the place you're from?"

"It's what I am," he growled. "A demon. From the Underworld. Some people call it hell."

Gwynn looked about as frightened by that admission as a cat chasing a mouse. In her eyes, yay, someone new to learn about this world from.

"So, you live in Hell? And you're a demon..." She smiled the smile of one who has absolutely no speech filters between her brain and her mouth. "Are you one of those demons the church tries to threaten people with or are you another kind?"

"Probably something very similar," Bel said. "We don't get along well with church types."
