Detention - 06/10

The Danger Shop, when students enter, looks like a somewhat rough part of an older part of a town. There were a few old cars around, one of which was noticably red - noticably mainly due to the fact that everything was in black and white - including the kids themselves ~~and if the Danger Shop can't do that, then *handwave* now it can~~ - save for a few splashes of color.

Becky was leaning against a wall, a piece of chalk in her hand. Miho was, naturally, nowhere to be found. And she wouldn't be, until she felt the need to be seen. On the wall, in suprisingly neat writing, read:

[OOC: Naturally, OCD is ~~coming~~ up, yay! Also, getting this up now as I? Have not made with the sleepination yet, and neither has Miho's player. Will be responding from about noon EST onwards.

Joxer held out his wrists. "There's no cuffs that could possibly hold Joxer the Mighty," he said ~~pompously~~ proudly.

"If you say so, Joxer," Peter said, cuffing him. "So, what, do you have superpowers, too?"

Joxer's eyes bugged. "You have superpowers?" He then coughed. "Of course I do. Being a mighty warlord is a family trait of mine."

"Yep. In theory, I could probably just pull those cuffs apart right now, but I doubt they'll be satified with that," Peter said. "So lockpicking is it. Do you know anything about picking locks?"

"Oh, and warlord? You're not a villain, are you?"

"Well, I suppose my dad would probably fall under the villain category," Joxer said. "But I've decided to change my ways and fight for good ~~because girls like that~~."

He frowned at the handcuffs. "I'm more of a brute force guy. Lockpicking is not my style."

"Same here, actually," Peter said, looking around. "But if we need to use something here to make it look better..."

Peter picked up one of the stiletto and considered it. "Have any problems with me using this as a hammer? I promise I won't hit your arms or hands."

"Go right ahead," Joxer said. "I should set my hands against something first."

Peter laughed. "I can't believe I'm about to say this, but get up against the wall. That'll be a nice, solid surface for this."

Joxer holds his arms to the side and up against the wall. "Be careful, now. I don't want a superpowered stilleto stuck in me."

Peter tapped the cuffs with the stiletto and pulled it back a little. He didn't need a full swing with his powers, so he pulled it back to his shoulder and struck at the latch portion of the cuffs.

Joxer really should've not moved at the last second. Because flinching caused the stiletto to smash right into the back of his hand.

"Ow ow ow ow ow," Joxer hopped up and down a bit. There was a wee bit of blood coming from where the stiletto had stabbed into him. "That was me, not you. All me. Ow."

"Dammit," Peter said. He pulled off the mask of his ninja costume and used his new first aid skills to fold it into a decent bandage. "Here, let me wrap this around your hand. I tried to pull back as soon as I could."

Joxer held out his hand and stood proudly. "My self defense instincts got the best of me," he said. "Sorry about that. I'll be fine."

Peter was surprised by the show of pride after flinching so badly. "Okay." He tied the makeshift bandage on Joxer's hand. "Okay, are you ready to try again? I can hold your hand in place while I'm doing it."

"Not dirty. Very not dirty."

Joxer nodded. "Go ahead and hold me," he said. "Don't want another accident." He pressed his arms against the wall again.

"I'm not holding you like a someone broken, though," Peter said. He held Joxer's left hand steady this time as he lined up the stiletto, pulled back, and struck.

Joxer managed to not struggle this time, so the stiletto smashed through the latch of the cuffs.

"Nice job," Joxer said. "I think you can let go of me now."

"Letting go," Peter said, doing so. "Once more for the other wrist?"

Joxer looked at the cuff that was still secure. "Oh yeah. Guess we're only half done, aren't we?" Joxer braced his hand with his free one.

"I should be okay this time. Have at it."

"This'll just be a second," Peter said. He pulled back the stiletto again and struck at the other cuff.

And the cuff broke, verily. Joxer rubbed his wrist. "You've got quite an arm on you," he said.

"The joy of superpowers," Peter said. "It means never truly locking yourself out of the house. Or to a bed, I suppose."

"I suppose so," Joxer said, as he moved his arm to clap Peter on the back. "Thanks for being my partner."

"You're welcome," Peter said. "Sorry about your hand."

"My fault," Joxer said. "Sometimes my insticts are so powerful I can't control them." He gave a nervous laugh that he tried to pass off as cocky.
