Detention - 06/10

The Danger Shop, when students enter, looks like a somewhat rough part of an older part of a town. There were a few old cars around, one of which was noticably red - noticably mainly due to the fact that everything was in black and white - including the kids themselves and if the Danger Shop can't do that, then *handwave* now it can - save for a few splashes of color.

Becky was leaning against a wall, a piece of chalk in her hand. Miho was, naturally, nowhere to be found. And she wouldn't be, until she felt the need to be seen. On the wall, in suprisingly neat writing, read:

Alec
Joxer
Walter Dornez
Tyler Durden
Gwynn Hood
Pippi Longstocking
Jamie Madrox
Conner McKnight
Cameron Mitchell
M. Parker
Peter Parker
Peter Pevensie
Nadia Santos
Dawn Summers
Dean Winchester
Sam Winchester

She crossed names off as students filed in.

[OOC: Naturally, OCD is coming up, yay! Also, getting this up now as I? Have not made with the sleepination yet, and neither has Miho's player. Will be responding from about noon EST onwards.

ETA: see availability in Rory's journal back, and my cat is fine. :) Thank you everyone for thinking of me.]

Miho was on an opposite roof. Somewhere. The students would've been hard-pressed to find her, however.

Jamie dived behind a ventilation shaft to avoid any paintballs. It was then he realized that he had dropped his sock puppet in a clear an open area.

"Julio!" He called out in despair. He began to do an army crawl on his stomach to get to the sock, which is not easy to do in a hula girl outfit.

Miho threw a white paint balloon at Julio, then went straight for Jamie with a red one. She did not laugh maniacally, but she probably wanted to.

Peter took his cowboy apparel a little too much to heart and decided that his best bet was to run straight through town as fast as possible.

He probably got hit many times.

After using her position under a car to get a better idea of the lay of the city, Nadia started crawling from vehicle to vehicle as far as she could before there was an open spot.

She rolled onto her back and peered upwards, then slipped into as much of a crouch as she could and bolted for the next car, several yards away.

Peter was feeling fairly daring. And it wasn't as if he could do much to hide with this white outfit on. So he started to walk at a slow but steady pace, waiting for his spider-sense to go off. He stuck to the sidewalk - not literally - so he could have easy access to an open space (the street) or a building to climb or bounce off if he needed to.

Conner was missing his super-speed power something fierce right about now. Okay, so barrelling straight through town in a blur wasn't going to be an option, obviously; even running at full-out normal speed from hiding place to hiding place was going to be a massive pain in the butt wearing these boots.

And this skirt.

Conner abandoned the hat, because it was going to be a distraction, and started diving between benches and trash cans.

Wow. Give him an army of Tyrannodrones any old day.

Parker ducked behind a dumpster, then tried to figure out the best route to the park. "Damnit."

She zig-zagged and made a note to practice running in heels more often, because hell, that could come in handy.

As if out of nowhere, a paint balloon hurtled toward Parker.

Pippi dove behind a car to give herself some time to figure out what to do. This was oddly similar to the last time she was in the Danger Shop...

She turned her head to peek through the window and see what was going on, but her attention focused instead on the car door.

"Hmmmmm. The window is down." She reached up into the car to unlock the door.

Walter has a distinct advantage of being obscenely fast and with practical experience in dodging bullets, which are, surprise, a good deal faster than paintballs.

Disadvantage? Stupid fairy wings.

Nadia was . . . way too familiar with this sort of situation.

Though usually she wasn't dressed quite like this.

She immediately scanned the area for a good place to hole up for the duration. Dumpsters, doorways, cars . . .

Cars. She dropped to the ground and rolled underneath one of the white sedans.

Joxer? Was doomed to be splattered with paint.

Luckily he wasn't in his own clothes. And white paint would be hard to spot on the wedding dress.

Tyler's more violent side took hold as he contemplated the activity. Remember Project Mayhem, he thought. You drilled on this. Endlessly..

He barrelled through the course, taking cover behind cars and dumpsters as much as possible. By the time he reached the end, he didn't feel like Elvis.

He also didn't feel like his regular self.

Re: Activity 3: Spree!

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-06-10 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Cameron was pretty sure that 'testing your dodging skills' was just a fancy way of saying they were going to use them as target practice. He did ponder if he actually wanted to get a treat or not, but then quickly started running along the street using whatever cover he could find.

Dawn resigned herself to being hit--she just couldn't get a full breath in the outfit she had on. Still, she tried to make herself as small as possible, stick to the shadows, and move as unobtrusively as possible as she walked from wall to wall.

Think invisible.

Re: Activity 3: Spree!

[personal profile] deadly_little 2006-06-10 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Miho, feeling that this was valuable training for Dawn, threw a paint balloon at her, then left her alone. She'd see if Dawn could be ninja enough to get past Becky.

Dean looked down the street, marking out all the places to use for cover. He'd feel a lot more confident in his ability to make it unscathed if it wasn't for the fact that he was in a muskrat suit. He wasn't sure how that was going to mess up his usual agility.

Oh well. There was only one way to find out. Taking on last look down the street to mentally plan out his route, Dean took off, moving quickly from car to garbage cans, to mailbox, to car, while keeping his eyes open for falling... things.

Sam didn't think he'd ever find a situation where he was sorry he'd hit his growth spurt, but being a tall target wasn't the best thing ever. He scanned the street, trying to figure out what he could use as protective cover, and then took off running.

[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com 2006-06-11 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
Alec was quite ready to take this as a personal challenge, so survival tactics and evasion it was. He darted into an alley straight off and popped his head out only long enough to figure out where to head next - then he was running for it, faster than human but shootable still.
