Book Fair

Giles had gotten up at ack o'clock and actually had toted five boxes of books to the Fandom High Gym before he "cheated."

Everything was now set up neatly on tables, and separated by genre.

There was also coffee and hot water urns, bottled water, and a variety of pastries and breads set on a table near the register.

The First Annual Fandom High Book Fair was open for business.

[ooc: Hang on to your collective hats while I get the OCD threads up, please.

Threads are UP. Whew. I think you all know how this works. Go look for a book. Up to you whether you find it or not. No, there is no magic/new age section. Yes, Giles has planned it that way.

That's it! Go to town! Wait. No. Stay here and buy stuff...]

Parker counted out on her fingers silently for a moment, then said, "Five, I think. With another one coming out in August. Anyone who kills off the hero of one book by having the heroine cut off his head? Is having too much fun." She looked over at the other classics, then shook her head. "No more Dickens, damnit. Wait. Cyrano, yay."

Elizabeth really did look scared by now. "I'm not sure who I fear more; the writer or her publisher for actually publishing that!" she admitted, grnning. She added The Bostonians to her pile. "No, not Dickens."

"The author is nuts. I wonder if the publisher *had* to publish because of deadlines?" Parker wondered. "I guess the next book will show. Hmm. Think I'm heading over to the Science section-- I want to see if there's anything on time travel I can find remotely understandable."

Elizabeth shrugged. "I wouldn't know; the most I know about publishing involves sending off journal articles," she said, grinning. "Have fun there. I think I'll skip science and head across to history perhaps."
