Book Fair

Giles had gotten up at ack o'clock and actually had toted five boxes of books to the Fandom High Gym before he "cheated."

Everything was now set up neatly on tables, and separated by genre.

There was also coffee and hot water urns, bottled water, and a variety of pastries and breads set on a table near the register.

The First Annual Fandom High Book Fair was open for business.

[ooc: Hang on to your collective hats while I get the OCD threads up, please.

Threads are UP. Whew. I think you all know how this works. Go look for a book. Up to you whether you find it or not. No, there is no magic/new age section. Yes, Giles has planned it that way.

Pippi looked over a few of the titles in the section.

"Is it just me or do all of these covers have like... The same three guys on them?"

Pippi is reading the back of something called "Time Swept".

"Yeah... I bet they do."

Nadia smiled at Pippi. "Anything in particular you're looking for?"

"Not really." she said, "I heard you laughing and I came over to see what it was all about."

"Ah." Nadia tilted her head. "I'm never sure what to look for in a book store. What do you like to read?"

"I dunno." Pippi said, "I couldn't didn't really read much until recently."

"Yeah, neither did I. Maybe Mr. Giles would have some suggestions?"

Pippi nodded.

"Mr. Giles is very wise in the ways of books."

Nadia nodded. "He helped me pick out a book for Victor after one of our big arguments."

Ah Victor. Pippi missed Victor, but she didn't say so because she had a feeling that if he was still around... Things would be very different.

Pippi nodded, "He's very smart."

Nadia had . . . mixed feelings about Victor. "And he's nice," she added, more than willing not to continue discussing her boyfriend's exboyfriend. "He let me use store credit when I didn't have enough money."

"Well we can add 'good judge of character' to the list then." Pippi smiled as she looked around for him.

"I guess so. Kind of makes you wish he was running the general store instead of Mr. Blackadder."

"I do kinda miss Mike and Ben." Pippi nodded. She was actually glad that the Emporium wasn't around during that weekend... Not that she was... Well, it was complicated.

Back on track.

"He could be worse." She wasn't sure how but he could be...
