The Danger Shop was set up to resemble a large, sun-filled room with a number of comfortable looking meditation cushions set up in a rough semi-circle facing the front.On the whole the vibes were very calm and welcoming. Anakin had not picked this simulation.

Anakin, in fact, looked much less relaxed than the room should make him. "Welcome to the Jedi Temple," he said. "Apparently.'

Ahsoka surely didn't know any reason it could have made him off kilter. At all. "Also welcome to this semester's Ethics class," she said. "Given the influence of the Jedi in developing both Master Skywalker's and my own sense of ethics, it seemed a good place to start with for introductions."

"Ohh," Anakin said quietly. "Oh no."

He started to look at the door. "Is he coming?"

"You're going to have to be more specific," Ahsoka replied, because there were honestly so many people Anakin could be referring to, before addressing the class again. "But for now I'd like to tell you all about how Anakin and I met."

There was one "him" that loomed particularly large in Anakin's mind, but he wasn't going to manifest a holographic version of Obi-Wan by naming him. "You were very short then," he said instead.

Ahsoka had been tempted for the visual. "I was fourteen," she said, holding her hand about the height of where the tips of her montrals would've been. "I'd just been assigned as the Padawan learner of the infamous Hero Without Fear, who promptly hid behind his own master."

"In my defense, I was an idiot," Anakin said.

"And not all that much older than I was, when all's said and done," Ahsoka added. "But in the end, I don't think I would have made it with any other master . The point of this is that at some point you will fail, and what's important is what you do and what you afterwards."

Anakin nodded. "I got better," he said. "Mostly."

Mostly. Meanwhile Ahsoka was perfect and had no concerns or worries whatsoever about training her own Padawan.

Of course not! "Today's lesson is to make a good impression," Anakin said, nodding. "Introduce yourself in a way that won't make you cringe to think back on."

"Quinn Maybrook," Quinn said, raising her hand a few inches off her knee in lieu of a proper wave. "I just go where they send me."

That definitely wasn't her worst first day of class introduction. For instance, she had not been sent to the principal's office, yet.

"Charlie Gale," she said cheerfully. And honestly, there was pretty much nothing that would cause her to cringe when looking back at it later. She owned her shit.

"The Aunties thought a class in ethics might be useful for me and help me make better decisions." Not likely, but they could hope.

Lydia Bennet

"I'm Stark," said Stark. "I didn't take this purposefully. I just ended up taking your ethics class. Again."

Was it the moose? Maybe. A higher power? Who could say. Maybe the moose was a higher power.

"I'm Sairis," he introduced himself a little doubtfully. "I have no idea what I'm doing here. I didn't even plan on coming to this island."

Beckett Mariner

"Lieutenant Beckett Mariner, and you, know, that wacky moose." It certainly wasn't because Mariner was some kind of nerd who'd joined an organisation that revolved around being highly ethical space nerds or anything.

"Have you thought about ethics much?" Anakin asked.

"How so?" Anakin asked.

"Maybe you'll learn something this time," Anakin said helpfully.

"That happens a lot," Anakin said, nodding. "This class is useful for everyone. It would be useful for you, too, I believe."

"From Ahsoka?" Stark asked, hopefully.

"Hello again," Anakin said with a smile. "It's good to see you."

Quinn shrugged in a way that only a young adult could. Somehow uncaring and yet furious at the same time.

"Sure. I guess."

She'd spent a year tracking down her enemies and beating the shit out of them but not -- crucially -- killing them. She'd thought about the ethics of all that a lot.

Charlie shrugged. "They think I'm a bit of a wild card who just does whatever she feels like. Maybe they think learning something about ethics will make me pause before I do something wild."

Would it? Who could say.

Anakin gave him a look.

Stark smiled innocently at him.

"Something wrong, Anakin?"

"Of course not," Anakin said.

"I'm willing to learn just about anything," Sairis said. He'd reserve the right to follow or ignore any ethics he was taught, but he never minded learning.

Anakin smiled. "Maybe this will help clarify some of those thoughts."

"Do you do whatever you feel like without thinking about consequences?" Anakin asked.

“Whatever,” said Quinn.

She would actually potentially get a lot out of this class.

"Good. I wouldn't want something to be wrong with you."

Besides whatever it was that was Wrong With Him that made him do the things he did every summer...

Henry of Skalitz

"Henry of Skalitz," Henry said, nonplussed. "And what all everyone else said about not choosing anything, I suppose."

Another shrug. "Ish? I don't worry too much about anything."
