Tasks!- Monday- 3rd period

The students in this class had been told to meet Kitty at the Danger Shop, which was made up to look like a house. They were outside at the moment, where the weather was nice, because they'd had to suffer through the picnic and that was enough.

"Good morning, and welcome to Tasks!" Kitty greeted them. "This is a class where I'm going to give you a task to do, and you have to figure out how to complete it in your own way. Vague, I know. That's because I'm trying for the element of surprise. Depending on the task, you might have the whole house and grounds at your disposal, maybe. You'll also be competing individually, but either in staggered times or all at once in different rooms so that you can't influence each other. At the end of class I'll let you all watch back everybody's turn.

"You'll score points for how you do on the task each week, and on the last day, the winner gets a special prize. For now, though, I've got some stylish coveralls for everybody, and you have any questions, save it for the lab."

While everyone was putting on their suits, Kitty said, "While you're doing that, I don't know who everyone is. So if you could tell me your name and if you meant to take this class or not. And if so, why."

"Quinn Maybrook," Quinn said, as she pulled her coveralls up. "And no. If the school is going to just sign me up for whatever, why bother signing myself up for things?"

"Lana Beniko." Who was making sure her coveralls were secure. She knew the kinds of messes Fandom could make.

"I did mean to take it. Because I thought I ought to take something, and this sounded nicely competitive."

She missed paintball.

Once everyone had donned their coveralls, they were each sent to their very own identical rooms, separate from each other. On the closed door to the room was an envelope, which had instructions written inside.

Eat as much watermelon as possible in one minute.

The task

Opening the door would bring you into the lab. It was an incredibly simple room with nothing but a table in it, except it was currently covered in tarps like some serial killing was about to go on.

And on the table was a full unopened watermelon. There were no tools to get it open, but there was a full house full of moddable objects if you needed something and could get it within one minute!

Quinn looked at the watermelon.

She looked at the floor.

She picked the watermelon up and hurled it to the floor and then stomped on it to break it open, then with a slight sigh, sat down to start shoveling handfuls of the stuff into her mouth.

This school was so weird.

Well, this was...weirdly boring. Lana was a little disappointed.

She took out her lightsaber, sliced the watermelon into quarters, picked up the first slice, and started eating.

Stark looked at the watermelon for too long. And then spent too long looking for something sharp.

So he ate a very small amount of watermelon. But hey, more watermelon for later? Or something.

Belle had found a small axe and a large spoon.

Apparently a winning combination. Who knew?

Good thing Belle liked watermelon a lot.

Once everyone had completed their tasks, they could gather around a tv cart in the other room to see everyone's efforts. Laugh at/with them, figure out what you should have done, argue for points, etc.

I have not yet watched it, but somebody did write fanfic which is a Reddit discussion of a fictional episode where the Magnus Archives crew did it. Does that count?
