Dealing With Other People's Trauma, Tuesday 10/28
Class today was being held at Furnado (with permission, ofc). Everyone had been informed of this ahead of time in the usual handwavey sort of fashion.
“I hope everyone enjoyed the vacation last week,” Stark said. “Vacations…can be a very good thing. A change of scenery. A way to break out of routines. But we can talk more about that another time. Today…dogs and cats.”
Just in case you were wondering why you were at the shelter, students and hadn't figured it out from the pens of adorable creatures.
“Sometimes animals can help with trauma. Or just with moods. Or…just with everything.”
Stark was absolutely still considering adopting a dog.
“So today we're going to just play with some animals. Or watch them. Some of them may have trauma of their own which is something to be mindful of. Maybe dealing with animals is very similar to dealing with people?”
Something to consider!
“But also…i just thought this would be a nice way for us to spend our morning.”

This shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone, considering Henry did his best labrador retriever impression most good days, but either way. He was absolutely distracted within seconds.
"Who's a good mutt? You're a good mutt..."
He was, however, going to call them all 'Mutt'.
