Archery Workshop #3, 6/6, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop was set up much like it had been the week before: outdoors, targets, bows, quivers, except this time the arrows have the more traditional points on them, as opposed to suction cups. There is no blackboard, as Miho is being optimistic and hopes her students are smart enough to figure out what to do. The sign-in sheet is on a folding table near the entrance.

Miho prowls up and down the line of students, a pad of detention slips and a pen in hand and a tiny, very scary smile on her face. She was initially going to give the whole class detention just for the heck of it, but Goldie said she didn't think teachers were allowed to do that.

Sighing again, Molly gave up all pretense of shooting and lowered her bow. "A few weeks ago, I kissed Cam," she said. "The radio just reported that there was a kiss. Several people assumed that Cam initiated it and... were disapproving. And it's still happening."

Didn't sound much like just friends behavior to Dawn, but she hadn't known about Buffy and Spike until they were back to hating each other, so maybe she was just naive about this. "What's still happening? The disapproving or the kissing?"

Molly blushed. "Mostly the disapproving," she said.

Dawn grinned when she saw the blush. "Mostly?"

"I kissed him again at the luau," she said without looking directly at Dawn.

Dawn squealed and didn't look at all disapproving.

"So what're people being all disapprovy about?"

"Oh, it varies slightly. They think he is going to hurt me or that he is taking advantage of me," she said, rolling her eyes. "And Rory was actually disapproving because we weren't dating right after I first kissed him."

"Is he going to hurt you?" Dawn asked bluntly. "Because it really doesn't seem like you're being taken advantage of."

"Cam would never hurt me," Molly said. "And, no. Not being taken advantage of at all."

Molly shook her head and frowned. "It makes me feel like they think I'm too dumb to know what's going on."

"Oh, wait, I do know this one," Dawn said, raising her bow and shooting the arrow in one smooth, quick movement. There was a little more force behind it and it hit right where the heart would be. She turned back to Molly, barely noticing she'd done it. "This is the 'you're too young to understand what's really going on' thing. I hate that."

"I'm so tired of that," Molly said. "And I'm tired of people not talking to me about this. Especially when they put it all on Cam."

"I was kidding before, but maybe you do need to make some kind of announcement," Dawn said after a few minutes. "Or at least talk to the people who are giving him such a hard time?"

"I have been. Once I find out they have a problem," Molly said with a wry tone.

"Hmmm. Yeah, I see the hole in the plan," Dawn tapped an arrow against her thigh.

"I just found out about another person yesterday," Molly said a little sadly. "She's someone I respect a lot and I don't understand why she never talked to me about it."

"Maybe she doesn't know how, or is worried that talking to you about it would make things worse?" Dawn suggested. "That used to happen with Buffy a lot."

Molly closed her eyes and shook her head. "I don't know."

Dawn put the bow and arrow down and hugged Molly. "I'm sorry this is so tough for you. I wish I could help."
