Archery Workshop #3, 6/6, Danger Shop, Afternoon

The Danger Shop was set up much like it had been the week before: outdoors, targets, bows, quivers, except this time the arrows have the more traditional points on them, as opposed to suction cups. There is no blackboard, as Miho is being optimistic and hopes her students are smart enough to figure out what to do. The sign-in sheet is on a folding table near the entrance.

Miho prowls up and down the line of students, a pad of detention slips and a pen in hand and a tiny, very scary smile on her face. She was initially going to give the whole class detention just for the heck of it, but Goldie said she didn't think teachers were allowed to do that.

Buffy hmmmed at that. "I don't know. I mean, I hit the target a lot, but I don't know if I'd hit something moving."

"I like you, Buffy, but I'm not about to offer to go down and run the target around so you can find out," he teased. "Maybe we'll get moving targets next week."

"What, not even one itty bitty round?" Buffy pouted playfully. "And you call yourself a man."

Buffy remembered something Sam had said, and her eyes lit up. "Are you saying you're... chicken?"

"Chicken to let a Slayer shoot arrows at me?" Dean snorted. "Absolutely."

"Damn. Sam lied to me." Buffy pouted again. "Or is it not working because I'm a girl? 'Cause that's very sexist of you."

"Is what not working?" Dean asked, shaking his head in confusion. And what made him think he could actually have a conversation with Buffy where he didn't end up doing that?

"The chicken thing," Buffy explained. "Sam said that if someone littler than you called you chicken, you'd have to do it." She frowned. "He might've just said it because he kissed Anakin."

Dean frowned. "Sam kissed Anakin so he wanted you to call me a chicken."

"No, Sam kissed Anakin because Anakin called him chicken," Buffy corrected patiently. It wasn't Dean's fault he was slow, poor boy. "Like you kissed Alec because.... Okay, I don't know why you kissed Alec, but it was very pretty."

"Lots of alcohol," Dean told her. He frowned again. "Anakin isn't smaller than Sam though."

"Yay alcohol," Buffy noted, before frowning back. "He's not? I wasn't really paying attention at the time..." She decided to check on her photos later. "So the whole chicken thing was just a big fat lie?"

"Yeah, we've been calling him Sammy since he was born." Dean had the sudden insight that Sam would probably not be happy if he got his girlfriend suddenly calling him Sammy. "It's sorta a family nickname," he added hoping to maybe head that off at the pass.

"Oh." Buffy looked a little sad for a moment. "I don't have a special nickname."

"Buffy's not a nickname?" Dean asked before he thought about it.

Buffy frowned at him. "Buffy's my name. Buffy Anne Summers."

"Right," Dean said, wondering what kind of parents think Buffy is a good given name. "My bad."

He looked at Buffy speculatively. "You want a nickname?"

Dean made a show of thinking about it. "Well, based on how you kicked Alec's ass yesterday... how about Slugger?"
