Well, everyone seemed to have thumbs today, so that was definitely a better start than last week. "Hello, everyone!" Steve said cheerfully. "Welcome back to baking!"

"We all have thumbs again!" That was the important thing to celebrate here. "And with that we'll be working on cookies."

"I love cookies," Steve said with a grin. "But first, we need to see the cakes you've brought in that you baked once you had thumbs again!"

The best kind of cake.

"So, let's get to that and then we'll let you know what your other bakes are this week," Tony said.

The easiest challenge as it was just to make a cake now that you had thumbs. Which left the window wide open for interpretation.

Lydia had made a carrot cake, both because it was one of the only cake recipes she knew and because it felt appropriate to having been a pony. If they wanted icing, they should have specified, and the cake was, yes, rather lopsided and perhaps a bit burnt.

Still, it was cake.
