Gun Club (6/03), around 3pm

Parker walks up to the dorms, and opens the Gun Club around 3pm.

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

Breaking any of these rules means an immediate visit with Principal Washburn or Constable Fraser. And not in any kind of fun way.

"It was good," Sam said, focusing on the target to keep from having to look at Dean, as that would have made him turn more red than he'd like. "It certainly ended in a different way than I'd imagined it would."

"Yeah," Dean grinned. "You're welcome for my giving the girls the invitation."

"Did you and Dawn have fun last night?" Sam asked, regretting the question as soon as he said it, and he covered by shooting at his own target, hitting relatively close to center, but not as well as Dean.

"Not bad, little brother," Dean told him looking at the target. "Dawn and I had a good time." He smiled rather dorkily. "She's a great girl."

It was hard for Sam to be jealous when Dean looked genuinely happy. Which is not to say that he didn't still manage to get jealous, just that it made him feel worse for feeling that way.

"Yeah, she is," he finally said, managing a smile. "Buffy's pretty great too."

"Yeah, she seems to like you too." He nudged Sam's shoulder. "Dude, you're dating a cheerleader. Err... I'm assuming you have asked her out again?"

"Excuse me, I'm not just dating a cheerleader - I'm dating the captain of the cheerleaders, thank you." That got a genuine grin out of Sam. "And she actually asked me out again, this morning."

Dean laughed delightedly. "That's my boy," he crowed. "See, I told you all you needed to do was ask and they'd be all over you."

"Dude, they're not all over me. Except for how Buffy kind of was this morning, and yeah, you were definitely not the one out of the four of us who needed to promise not to be Alec-like," Sam said, getting a little red at the memory of the morning.

Dean's eyebrows shot up at that. "Just how all over you was she?"

"Not too much," Sam replied quickly. "Just a little more than I thought girls were comfortable with after only one date."

"Maybe you're just that irresistable," Dean teased.

Sam shook his head. "Yeah, well I'm not sure if being irresistable like that is such a good thing."

Dean cocked his head to the side observing his brother. "Do you like her?"

Sam thought about it seriously for a few moments. "Yeah, I do. She's fun to be around, and we don't get to meet a lot of people like that."

"Well then. You like her, being irresistable to her is a good thing." He winked at Sam. "It's only a bad thing if you don't like her."

Sam laughed. "I guess so. I just don't want to take things too fast."

"Don't worry," Dean said touching Sam's shoulder. "I don't think you're in any danger of turning into, say, Alec. But that doesn't mean you can't have some fun if the girl's willing."

"Okay, but this is coming from the guy who's had all sorts of fun with girls. I haven't," Sam said, looking a little more upset about that than usual.

"Hey, I haven't had all that much fun," Dean admitted. "I just talk a good game."

"You've had fun at least once," Sam pointed out. "At least you can back up your game."

"Is that what you're worried about?" Dean asked, cocking his head as he looked at Sammy. "That you won't be able to... ah... back up when you do get your chance?"

Sam looked down again, clearing his throat. "Um, maybe?" he said, focusing on reloading his gun. "Buffy seemed like she knew exactly what she was doing this morning. If she's even remotely on par with you, that still puts her way ahead of me. I just don't know if she'll be okay with that."

Dean thought about his answer for a little bit before actually speaking. "I could tell you that everybody has those kinds of worries before their first time -- I certainly did -- but I know that probably won't help. I'd tell you not to worry about it, but again, you're going to worry whatever I say. I do know that.. when it comes down to it and everything's flowing and you're in that moment, it all comes naturally. Just follow your instincts." He smiled a little. "Besides, with all the research you've done, you're probably the best prepared virgin out there."

Sam had to admit that sometimes it was nice having Dean know exactly how his mind worked. "I'd like to think that I'm well prepared. But pictures can only prepare you for so much. I just want it to be good, that's all, at least for the other person."
