Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

So, it wasn't Fall yet by a long shot. The temperatures were still high, the leaves were still green, and the calendar still said August. But the calendar of consumerism didn't care about reality and thus, the welcome picnic was decorated for fall. The tables were covered in reds, oranges, and yellows, there was apple cider in the punch bowls and, of course, if the food on the table could come in pumpkin spice form, it was here in pumpkin spice form.

"Crazy, right? But boy can it be fun!" Charlie said. "And I work in this store called Groovy Tunes and you can get music from anywhere. Like anywhere anywhere. Another time, another world, another planet... It's incredible!"

"No, it's got something to do with this being a multidimensional nexus," Charlie explained. "And, of course, there's Portalocity. The gnomes can hook you up to a portal to just about any where and any when that you want to go."

She sighed. "No times machines. But I can Walk the Wood to get to places and I can get places before I start if I want - not by a lot yet, but I'm getting better at it. Playing the guitar helps me follow the tunes through the Wood."
