Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

So, it wasn't Fall yet by a long shot. The temperatures were still high, the leaves were still green, and the calendar still said August. But the calendar of consumerism didn't care about reality and thus, the welcome picnic was decorated for fall. The tables were covered in reds, oranges, and yellows, there was apple cider in the punch bowls and, of course, if the food on the table could come in pumpkin spice form, it was here in pumpkin spice form.

Tony was handling the jetlag better than Steve by sheer virtue of his normal sleep habits were a mess. Just a complete mess.

Which was why he was much more energetic. For him. In the morning. It was morning, right?

"Which are the best snacks this time around?" he asked, leaning into Steve's space with the usual level of familiarity.

"I'm kind of pastried out right now," Steve said with a teasing smile, "but the sandwiches are good."

"I can't believe we managed to get you tired of them," Tony said with a laugh. "It feels like the impossible task."

"We went to fifteen bakeries," Steve said.
