Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, Saturday, All Day

So, it wasn't Fall yet by a long shot. The temperatures were still high, the leaves were still green, and the calendar still said August. But the calendar of consumerism didn't care about reality and thus, the welcome picnic was decorated for fall. The tables were covered in reds, oranges, and yellows, there was apple cider in the punch bowls and, of course, if the food on the table could come in pumpkin spice form, it was here in pumpkin spice form.

"Oh, they push it back earlier and earlier each year," Tony said with a laugh. "It'll come out on Steve's birthday soon enough."

"Oh, that sounds...that sounds like something that ends in tears. Why would you put that out there?" Tony. Why?

Don just stared at him for what might have been several seconds before he managed to ask, "But why?" Could they bake in other dimensions? That felt fake.

"J ordered a lot of fire extinguishers in case our students have issues." The students. Suuuuure.

"Uh-huh," Don said, like someone who had spent time around Tony on a regular basis. "The students."

They'd used so many already.

Probably the kitchen fire extinguishers should have their own line item in the budget.

"Of course," Don said, nodding. "And we'll try to work out a better solution for the next time Thor wants to roast something."

I don't see what was wrong with the last time.

"You don't get an opinion. Not you," Don assured Tony, even though the way he'd been looking somewhere over Tony's left shoulder probably had already established that.
