Applied Dadaism: Fun and Games (Main campfire, Friday morning)

Artie was seated on thin air at a folding card table when the campers arrived. Once they all were gathered, he gestured for them to sit down at any of the three tables set up (they, at least, had actual chairs).

"Welcome back, campers! I hope you all have had a pipe weekend! I know I have! Today we are going to continue with our Dada games. I hope all of you have been thinking of some rules for your own games that you will present at the end of the session!"

He bounded to his feet. "But first! Introduce yourselves again! Only this time, use a Dada name. For example, today I will be Squeeeeeeebadadoopboing!"

Once the introductions were done with, Artie laid out some cards on the tables. "Today, we will play poker! But not just any poker, oh no, Dada poker. Dada poker is like Dada rock, paper, scissors. Any hand can win, as long as you can tell us why. Be creative! If you have three clubs, maybe your three clubs can bludgeon your opponents three kings! It's up to you.

"For next time, I have an assignment for you. Pick one day this week. You will spend that day being Dada, in everything you do. Perhaps spend the whole day saying nothing but the word 'dreeble'. Perhaps try to wrestle a slab of bacon. Make people ask you what you are doing! Make them think you are weird. Don't tell them; just let them wonder! Next week, you will tell us about your Dada day!"

[ooc: yeah, shorter than last time. Just be glad I'm not making you sit through Artie reciting phonetic poetry. Waaaaaaaait for the OCD, friends! Got any knaves? No? Okay, how about twos? Go fish!]

Given that Walter has absolutely no idea what Tim has just described, it seems reasonable to give him the win.

"I think you have defeated me in fair combat. Again?"

Tim nodded. "Let's do it."

tim's next hand consisted of four Trash Can Children:
Starvin' Marvin
Gross Grisselda
Graham Bell
Burpin' Bellatrix

and a ticked stub for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Walter looked at his own cards - a dry cleaning receipt for a sequined gown for someone named Lu- things were a bit smudged there, something labeled chaos orb, a blank piece of cardboard, a business card for Gikkingen, and a three of diamonds.

"You have a matched set, but I think mine win because yours are busy revolting each other."

Tim nodded. "Plus I think the gown was worn to Rocky Horror by the owner of Gikkingen, so you get the ticket stub to add to your inventory."

"The owner of Gikkingen was a cat. He and Alfred were good friends." But that didn't keep Walter from taking the ticket stub and adding it to his pile of Dada card.

A cat in a sequined gown at some presentation called the Rocky Horror Picture Show? Walter couldn't help but find that terribly Dada.

"Once more with feeling?"

One more hand. Walter pulled a mattress tag [Do not remove under penalty of law,] an old Godzilla collectible card, the nine of swords, a credit card with the name Edmund Blackadder on it, and the instruction booklet for a home pregnancy test.

He laid them down. "I fold. Blackadder is an automatic forfeit."

"Glad you got that card, otherwise Godzilla would have totaled my hand."
