Artie was seated on thin air at a folding card table when the campers arrived. Once they all were gathered, he gestured for them to sit down at any of the three tables set up (they, at least, had actual chairs).

"Welcome back, campers! I hope you all have had a pipe weekend! I know I have! Today we are going to continue with our Dada games. I hope all of you have been thinking of some rules for your own games that you will present at the end of the session!"

He bounded to his feet. "But first! Introduce yourselves again! Only this time, use a Dada name. For example, today I will be Squeeeeeeebadadoopboing!"

Once the introductions were done with, Artie laid out some cards on the tables. "Today, we will play poker! But not just any poker, oh no, Dada poker. Dada poker is like Dada rock, paper, scissors. Any hand can win, as long as you can tell us why. Be creative! If you have three clubs, maybe your three clubs can bludgeon your opponents three kings! It's up to you.

"For next time, I have an assignment for you. Pick one day this week. You will spend that day being Dada, in everything you do. Perhaps spend the whole day saying nothing but the word 'dreeble'. Perhaps try to wrestle a slab of bacon. Make people ask you what you are doing! Make them think you are weird. Don't tell them; just let them wonder! Next week, you will tell us about your Dada day!"

[ooc: yeah, shorter than last time. Just be glad I'm not making you sit through Artie reciting phonetic poetry. ~~Waaaaaaaait for the OCD, friends!~~ Got any knaves? No? Okay, how about twos? Go fish!]

"I have a 2 of clubs which I'll use to beat Pat and Vanna into unconsciousness."

Tyler cracked up. "And I have the spades to bury their bodies. Fine, your round. Let's call it best of three."

"Sounds good to me," Jamie said as he dealt out the cards.

This time Jamie got:
A recipe card for Cheescake
A Pete Rose rookie baseball card
A 3 of diamonds
A kids menu from McMooby's
And a joker.

"What'd you get?"

"The ace of spades, a "congratulations graduate" card with a pink pony on it, another old maid, a red six from an Uno deck, and - Popeye, stop that."

Popeye was chewing on the fifth card, which was a now quite soggy recipe card for coconut cream pie. With a gummy smile, he gripped it tighter, refusing to give it back. "And something I am not handling because of the gnome spit."

It should be noted that Artie appeared to approve wholeheartedly of Popeye's Dada poker technique.

Jamie stared at his cards trying to think of how they would win.

Instead he threw the cards up in the air and let them fly everywhere.

"My cards are sentient and escaped from me. Since they're so smart I win."

Artie also apparently approves of Jamie's methods. He seems to be making something. Two somethings.

They might just be Dada poker king crowns for Jamie and Popeye.

Tyler blinked.

And tossed his cards in the air too.

"Whee."

"You know what? I don't think I won that that hand. Instead it was a foot and I now own Thailand," Jamie said getting into the Dada spirit.

Tyler buried his head in his hands. Popeye, who had by now completely consumed the coconut pie card, patted his shoulder consolingly.

"Fine. Get me some panang curry," was all he said.

"Don't have any on me, but now I'm hungry," Jamie replied. "Want to go to lunch?"

"I have to run into town for *handwavey* first," Tyler said reluctantly. "See you at practice?"

[OOC: Ack, sorry. I already pinged in the cafeteria post as not open to interaction because I wanted to get rid of the gnome before I had to start dealing with basketball.]

"No problem. See you there," Jamie said.
