Teamwork part two- Monday

They were in a classroom today, where Jag and Jaina were standing at the front, waiting for everyone to arrive.

"Good morning," Jaina started once everyone had arrived. "We've got a mostly new group, so we're going to do the fun intro stuff. I'm Jaina, this is Jag, we're married, and we're going to teach you about teamwork."

"In this class you'll complete exercises in working together, both physically and through communication," Jag continued. "We will be starting easy this week with introductions. Tell us your name and what skills you'd like to work on, and then we'll have a short assignment."

"Lana Beniko." She nodded politely. "I don't have anything specific I'd like to work on, but I work with a variety of people, and I'll take all the tips that I can."

"Quinn," Quinn said, waving the fingers of one hand unenthusiastically. "And I get the feeling that I actually won't get weird looks if I say I'd like to work on not getting my teammates killed?"

Look, it wasn't her fault that the guys she worked with during the massacres had been at best brutally injured (except that one guy she shot in massacre number two, that was definitely her bad). But she wouldn't mind feeling more confident that working on a team wasn't guaranteed to get the other person at best brutally injured.

"We're going to play a game of two of Telephone," Jaina told them. I'm going to give one person a sentence. They will whisper that se hence to the next person without letting anyone else hear, and you'll go down the line till the last person tells us what the sentence is now. The goal is to be clear and to really listen so we get this as right as possible."

Jaina went to the first person and whispered to them, "The little green gremlin stole my ring and bit me."


[One ping per person, whispering the sentence to the next person. Last person has to say what they got.]

What? She had a good memory.

Quinn frowned. "Is that a thing?"

She knew how to play this game, she was just slightly thrown by 'gremlin'. Someone hadn't gotten around to hearing about those. Or noticing the school's mascot.

"Sort of," Lana said. Still whispering, she added, "I don't know if they steal stuff, but they do bite, and it's hallucinogenic, so try to avoid it."

"The gremlin stole my ring and bit me."

Jaina whispered to whoever started- maybe the same first person, maybe not!

"I talked to much at the teal deer and now they might be judging me."

Okay, this time Quinn was not going to ask. She turned to the next person in line.

"I talked to much of the tilder --" whatever that was, "-- and now it's judging me."
