Potatoes!, Friday, Second Period
There were deep fryers at everybody's station today, full of oil and already ready to go.
So hopefully this didn't end in tears. Raiden was prepared to spend today on high alert for the need to go to his students' aid.
"I think we can all agree that one of the potato's finest destinies is to be fried," Raiden told his students, "So today we're going to make french fries. Now, can you just cut up some potatoes, throw 'em in the oil, salt them when they come out, and have something delicious to eat? Of course you can! But a few extra steps will make them even better. Now, if you don't want to deal with a giant pot of hot oil--perfectly understandable, know your limits--you can always make oven fries! So let's get to cooking, the sooner we can get to arguing over which sauce is best to dip your fries in. Remember, there are no wrong answers!...okay, there are probably some wrong answers, but I can't think of them right now."
