Cupcake Wars (Yes, Again), Friday 2/21, 3rd period

“Welcome back,” Stark said once everyone who was going to show up had done so. He wasn’t going to bring up last week if you weren’t.

“Next week, in a few days really, we’ll be going on one of the school trips. Somewhere warm. So in honor of that we’ll be making tropical cupcakes this week.”

He waved his hand at the variety of tropical fruits (fresh, canned, and dried) and the different types of coconut (fresh, flaked, sweetened, milk, and cream) set out to be used.

“I have mango and pineapple and coconut and passion fruit and…a lot of other things as well. And a few recipes to look at for reference if you want or need that. So, have fun, make something that reminds you of a tropical island, and then we can eat."

They can be tropical flavors or tropical looking or both or neither. But neither would be weird. Just saying.

Naturally, Stewart found himself scowling at the bright and colorful ingredients suggested for this week's theme, then he squinted at them thoughtfully as he tried to think of a way to work this more in his favor instead of pumping out some grotesque Margaritaville Yacht-Rock monstrosity.

Pirates and rum seemed a bit too obvious, too.

But then inspiration struck. He had to dig around a little for what he needed, but by the end of the class, he'd have embodied what he felt was truly a testament to what would be his Caribbean vibes with some shark attack cupcakes.

And, yes, he did the music while frosting and decorating them, complete with the occasional screaming and mauling sounds.
