The class was back on the (fake) beach yet again, only this time, instead of a volleyball net, there was a series of different surfboards stuck into the sand and a collection of machines that might look a little familiar if you were a frequent user of the gym here on the island. Which should pretty much give you a good idea of what the class was working on today.

"Since we now know for a fact that we're going somewhere warm and beachy for the school trip next week," Gladio explained, perhaps unnecessarily, "there's one thing I'm really looking forward to, and that's doing some actual surfing in! So, naturally, it made sense to cover surfing this week in case any of you wanted to come join me in catching some waves while we're down in Barbados.

"So today, we're going to learn how to do it, a few techniques, and some general tips. We've got the surf trainers to start on, and if you want to stick with those, that's fine, but we've got a big fake ocean with a variety of different waves to work with if you wanted to venture out into the water, too. Whatever you're most comfortable with. But let's start with the basics..."

Gladio's definitely got a lot to say about the topic, and he's eager to get out there, but not until he's feeling like everyone understands the basic fundamentals first!

For some reason, the idea of learning how to surf had never really occurred to Eleanor until exactly this moment, and she was staring at the boards set against the backdrop of ocean with her eyes wide and that feeling that she was about to step beyond a point of no return.

And then she was going to make sure to pay attention, because, yes, this. She needed to learn how to do this.

Stick to the training machines on the sand, venture out into the waves after picking out a board, or just go over things on a board on the sand, too, if that's where you're at! The thing that matters is that you try to the best of your comfort!

The ease at which this man can handle a surfboard taller than even he is....really isn't that surprising, considering his swords.

Nell just enjoyed watching him. SHe couldn't deny it. She could watch him all day!
