Gladio was absolutely still holding class that week. It'll be good for everyone, right, to let out a little bit of energy in a slightly different way than they might otherwise! And even though he was definitely going to be interrupted every once in a while the occasional bout of sneezing, he was definitely going ahead with the lesson, as everyone gathered on a court in the danger shop that made it pretty clear to anyone who'd seen it before what they were doing.

"Today," he said, "we're going to learn about tennis. Now, I don't know a whole lot about how to play tennis, so to brush up on the details, we're going to start class today by watching some examples of tennis matches and breaking it down from there."

You know. Video clips of tennis. The sport notorious for its suggestive grunting.

Look, if you hadn't realized by now that your teacher was an absolutely unapologetic and unrelenting troll, then that was on you, really.

"And then we'll see what we can do ourselves out on the court, whacking around those balls."

Seriously. Why would anyone cancel classes this week when they had opportunities like this right in front of them?

"Oh, yeah?" asked Gladio, with probably his biggest, most crooked grin yet and that familiar light in his amber eyes as he lifted an eyebrow. He deeply loved all aspects of Nell, but Bossy Nell still remained easily one of his top favorites. "Or else what?"

"I go in the hot tub. Alone." Her eyes sparkled up at him.

"Mmm," Gladio's hum was particular deep as he stroked his chin thoughtfully at this. "Seems like a waste of a good hotter. Can't have that...

"Alright," he nodded. "You convinced me."

And then he went bending over to scoop Nell up, so she could see his grin even better.

"Home," he agreed. "Now."

Nell laughed delightedly. "Yes! I love it when you see reason!"

She stretched up to kiss him deeply. "I'd have been very lonely in that hot tub by myself."

Gladio may have said now, but it would be a moment before he started moving toward the door, because returning a kiss like that demanded he put his entire attention into it.

"Wouldn't want that," he said, starting to move now and pretty sure it would be slow-going with stops to kiss like that again all along the way. "Nothing worse than being lonely in a hot tub."

"Nope. Loneliness is no good," she agreed, pulling his head down again. "Especially when you're somewhere that is otherwise so wonderful."

"A wonderful place needs wonderful company, huh?" Gladio asked, easily letting himself be pulled in closer again with a grin. "And I am</i[ pretty wonderful. Although at this rate," he had to laugh a little, "it's gonna be nightfall before we even get there."

"You are," Nell agreed easily. "And well, as long as I'm with you and we're doing... this sort of thing... we can take our time. The hot tub isn't going anywhere."

"It better not be!" Gladio's laugh was a bit bigger with that. "I got much better things to be doing with my time," a grin and another progress-halting kiss to emphasize exactly what kind of things, "than chasing down missing hot tubs."

"Mmmm..." Nell murmured against his lips. "Maybe we need to make a stop before we get to that potentially tricky hot tub."

If they made it as far as the house before dark even.

"I'm starting to appreciate why Iggy's kept that old apartment of ours all this time," Gladio snorted faintly. And while their place was still closer than that apartment from the school, he was now wondering if there might be somewhere close. Just to tide them over a little.

"There is my office here," he pointed out. No one really spent much time in their offices these days, sure, himself included, but that just meant it would be perfect for a privacy level that Nell would feel comfortable with.

"Oooh... I don't think you've ever shown me your office," Nell said. "I mean, I knew you probably had one, but..."

"Well, how's as good as time as any," Gladio noted. "Might be a little dusty from not getting used much, but Fosse seems pretty good about keeping things clean around here, too. Just a little detour," here, he threw in a wink, "before we got to that hot tub."

"Detours can be fun," Nell agreed, "Well, I'm in your hands. Literally."

Gladio snorted a soft laugh. "And you know," he said, "how good I am with my hands."

He didn't intend for the next kiss to stretch out even longer, but once he got it started, he found he needed just a little bit more before redirecting their course for somewhere much closer than that hot tub that they'd be getting to eventually.

But, hey. Like Nell said, what was the rush, right?

As long as they were together there was no rush to get there at all. Kissing was far more important and his office was close enough for... whatever else might happen once they got there.

"You're the best with your hands," she agreed smoothly.
